Friday Moonee Valley Racing Previews & Tips - 15th March
Team Hawkes have a talented youngster resuming and we are banking on her to get the job done.
It’s Alister Clark night at The Valley and what a very nice program of racing we have. We are confident on one in the main race but we are hoping to build a nice healthy betting bank prior to that in the earlier races.
Moonee Valley is racing on a Good 4 with the rail out 3m the entire circuit.
Moonee Valley Race 1 - 6:30PM Adapt Australia Handicap (1200 Metres)
MRS O’MALLEY looks set to go back-to-back since resuming from a spell despite drawing the widest of nine runners. The filly won effortlessly at Pakenham in late February and will be better for the outing. Maps to get back and will be swooping late.
1st: No6 MRS O’MALLEY 2nd: No5 Kings Brook; 3rd: No8 Judy In Disguise; 4th No1 Mossbelle
Moonee Valley Race 3 - 7:30PM Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge Heat 16 (955 Metres)
TELL ME (BEST BET) is resuming from a spell but the Team Hawkes runner has to be respected. The filly racked up a hat-trick of wins in town, beating subsequent winners Terminology and All Too Royal before a third to Military Zone in the Gosford Guineas at the end of December. Has trialed trialled nice second to Slipper winner Estijaab leading into this. Hard to toss especially with a 3kg claim.
1st: No4 TELL ME 2nd: No5 Golden Lustre; 3rd No6 McGarrett; 4th: No1 Vainstream
Moonee Valley Race 4 - 8:00PM Powerflo Solutions Kate O’Sullivan Cup (1600 Metres)
Tricky race but the 3kg claim for MUSIC OF THE NIGHT looks as though it could pay dividends. The Pat Carey runner will carry just 52kgs thanks to Chelsea MacFarlane’s claim and her form isn’t terrible in much harder races. Is a winner of her only start at this track.
1st: No8 MUSIC OF THE NIGHT 2nd: No3 Esposito Gold; 3rd: No7 Pria Eclipse; 4th: No1 Smart As You Think
Moonee Valley Race 7 - 9:30PM Crown Resorts Alister Clark Stakes (2040 Metres)
It was hard not to be impressed with the run of GLOBAL EXCHANGE last start and he shapes as the one to beat again. The Maher & Eustace runner was brilliant in winning the Group Two Autumn Classic, powering to the front inside the 200-metre mark and giving nothing else a chance. Looks as though he will relish the distance. Has missed a place just once from five starts.
1st: No3 GLOBAL EXCHANGE 2nd: No4 Declares War; 3rd: No6 Declarationofheart; 4th: No2 Cossetot
