We have found a few gallopers going around at Sale and Kembla that look well placed as we head into a huge weekend of racing. Our top pick is resuming from a break and looks poised to strike in the opening event of the program at Sale. Should be getting the day off to a flyer!

Sale is racing on a Good 4 with the rail out 7m the entire.

Kembla is racing on a Good 4 with the rail True.

Sale Race 1 - 1:30PM Vale Calvin Logan 2YO Maiden Plate (1112 Metres)

Looks a perfect race for the Tony McEvoy-trained WEDGETAIL (BEST BET) to break through first-up from a spell. Looked impressive when winning a trial by 1.5 lengths leading into this and has found a very weak field to start the program. Should be too good for this lot.

1st: No5 WEDGETAIL 2nd:  No1 Alabama Express; 3rd: No7 Salina 4th: No6 Miss Robbie

Sale Race 2 - 2:00PM Laurels Function Centre Maiden Plate (2244 Metres)

Drawn to get the run of the race sees MY TARANAKI the one to beat as she strives to break her maiden at start number four. Finished two lengths behind Hot Blonde at Pakenham last start with a half a length gap back to third. Will be fit and ready to fire - stick with her the victory isn’t far away.

1st: No9 MY TARANAKI 2nd:  No5 Greek Mist; 3rd: No8 Exclusively One; 4th: No3 Bakery Hill

Sale Race 6 - 4:00PM The Gippy Hotel BM58 Handicap (1427 Metres)

Hard to go past the in-form GO PRO that looked impressive when winning at Kyneton last start and can go on with it here today. Bolted in last start, defeating Acropolis Hill by the big margin despite the three-wide trip. Goes up in grade but won with authority last start and happy to stick with the consistent galloper yet again. Winning hope.

1st: No6 GO PRO 2nd:  No2 Blue Earth; 3rd: No5 Trebla 4th: No8 Tugga War

Kembla Race 7 - 4:55PM Carlton Draught Kembla Grange Classic (1600 Metres)

Can’t see anything upsetting POHUTUKAWA (NEX BEST BET) in the Group Three Kembla Grange Classic over the 1600m here today. Will be rock hard fit third-up from a break and going on her recent efforts she is the one to toss. Luckless when fifth to Nakeeta Jane in the Surround Stakes last start and charged home first-up when placing behind the same horse over 1200m. Major player.

1st: No1 POHUTUKAWA 2nd:  No2 I Like It Easy 3rd: No12 Sister Sledge 4th: No8 Welsh Legend

Sale Race 8 - 5:00PM Maffra Cup Day 31st March BM58 Handicap (1112 Metres)

REGINA MARGHERITA just finished out the placings at Mooney Valley last start behind Cristal Eyes and can bounce back in the winner’s circle. Did give her rivals a galloping lesson two starts back when winning by eight lengths and if she reproduces that effort, she can win this. Perfectly placed and a big danger.

1st: No4 REGINA MARGHERITA 2nd:  No6 Amastryker; 3rd: No2 Waterford Sound; 4th: No5 Monumental Lady
