Tuesday Racing Tips - 26th March
Our expert has jagged a few long priced winners in recent days but can he continue to maintain the rage?
Tricky day of racing but we think we have found some value in amongst our selections which will hopefully be added to our recent big-priced winners in Benfica Princess ($13) and Greycliffe ($12). Our best of the day comes from Geelong where a talented filly will be out to break her maiden status.

Coffs Harbour Race 1 - 1:15PM Adrenaline Thoroughbreds Maiden Plate (800 Metres)
This Brett Bellamy galloper is worth another chance of his unplaced debut run back in September. ARGHH THE SERENITY was wide throughout and may not have handled the Soft going when finishing second last at Tuncurry. Prior to that he led throughout to win a Lismore trial in impressive fashion. Drawn one and with Jon Grisedale taking the mount, the four-year-old could be value in the opener.
1st: No1 ARGHH THE SERENITY 2nd: No12 Quite Neat; 3rd: No11 Mem’s Magic; 4th: No4 Dukatti
Geelong Race 2 - 2:00PM No Fuss Event Hire 3YO Maiden Plate (1421 Metres)
Is today the day for *SCRATCHED* ELEGANT TYCOON (BEST BET) – we think it could be! Prepared by the astute Mick Kent, Elegant Tycoon has finished third and fourth in two career starts but appears ready for the rise in distance here. Drawn barrier four this time around which will give the in-form Luke Currie plenty of options as opposed to her previous two starts when she drew wide. Likely to go forward and be hard to run down.
1st: *SCRATCHED* No12 ELEGANT TYCOON 2nd: No9 Taxi; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No7 Stayawake; 4th: No16 Dream Factor
Coffs Harbour Race 3 - 2:25PM Toomorrows Farm Benchmark 66 Handicap (1300 Metres)
It may pay to forgive MISTER SMARTEE (NEXT BEST BET) his last start failure as an odds-on fav. The Tas Morton-trained runner appeared to have every chance when third in the run and presented at the top of the straight, however, he couldn’t finish off and was nailed by Everly Girl in the shadows of the post. Prior to that was sixth in a close finish in the Port Macquarie Country Championships qualifier. He now has three runs under his belt and should be rock hard fit for this.
1st: No2 MISTER SMARTEE 2nd: No3 More Thunder; 3rd No7 Soft Top; 4th: No8 Winner’s Lane
Coffs Harbour Race 5 - 3:40PM Brett Dodson Racing CG&E Class 1 Handicap (1400 Metres)
EAGLEWORKS could be suited to this race. The Paul Perry runner is a noted backmarker and is always running on in his race. Last time out made a stack of ground up late over the concluding stages when fifth to Ghetto Boy at Taree. Barrier 10 means he will be back in the pack once again, however, there appears to be sufficient speed on to give him his chance in the straight.
1st: No6 EAGLEWORKS 2nd: No2 Atyaaf; 3rd: No10 Shoreditch; 4th: No5 Wu Long Shi
Coffs Harbour Race 6 - 4:15PM J&K Jarvis Racing F&M Class 1 Handicap (1400 Metres)
Drawn wide, LADY MOSSMAN will get back in the field but she has been finishing off well lately and is worth a ticket here. Out of the Roy Franklin yard, she has had three runs back from a spell and been within two lengths of the winner each time. She has two placings in her past two starts and the extra distance of this appears to suit. Look for her late.
1st: No6 LADY MOSSMAN 2nd: No3 Heaven’s High; 3rd: No2 Whisper Delovely; 4th No5 Natural Image
