Wednesday Sandown Racing Previews & Tips - 27th March
We are putting our faith in Jamie Kah to get the job done on our best bet of the day.
Plenty of winners to be found across the eight races today at Sandown. Our top pick gave her rivals a beating and a half when successful last time out and we think she can go on with the job here.
Sandown is racing on a Good 4 with the rail out 3m the entire circuit.
Sandown Race 1 - 2:45PM Ladbrokes Handicap (1200 Metres)
ANGEL ROCK will be rock hard third-up and from the inside draw looks a threat to her rivals in the opening event. Chased hard, finishing just out of the placings at Morphettville a fortnight ago in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic. Give her another chance.
1st: No1 ANGEL ROCK 2nd: No5 Ironore Gina; 3rd: No4 Inciter; 4th: No7 Triple Red
Sandown Race 2 - 3:20PM MyPunter.com Plate (1400 Metres)
Sticking with JUDGE O’REILLY to break through for his much deserved maiden victory. Has finished runner-up at his past two starts, just missing by a whisker on this track last start behind the smart Stocktaka which has since won again. Races on the speed and is a big danger.
1st: No2 JUDGE O’REILLY 2nd: No3 Mellors; 3rd No6 Makfly; 4th: No10 Elegant Tycoon
Sandown Race 3 - 4:00PM Clanbrooke Racing Handicap (1300 Metres)
WOMAN looks primed to bounce back after finishing a close third behind Undoubtable Miss at Pakenham last start and second-up here today she will be out to atone that narrow defeat. Look for this mare to settle just off the speed and have the last crack at them in the straight. How good is she? We will see today.
1st: No6 WOMAN 2nd: No2 Prahaar; 3rd: No1 Lecture; 4th: No8 Paint The Town
Sandown Race 4 - 4:30PM Spicer Thoroughbreds Handicap (1200 Metres)
DIAMOND EFFORT (BEST BET) broke its maiden with a six length demolition job at Cranbourne a fortnight ago. Settled on speed before taking over at the 600m mark to run away. Drawn well and expect her to take a power of beating. Huge win last start and can back it up. Clinton McDonald and Jamie Kah combine.
1st: No10 DIAMOND EFFORT 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No6 Riel Reward; *SCRATCHED* No12 No Shame; 4th: No4 Persian Empire
Sandown Race 5 - 5:00PM The Big Screen Company Handicap (1300 Metres)
VALENCIANO (NEXT BEST BET) defeated Sadente by half a length at Pakenham a fortnight back to break through and looks hard to beat rising to the 1300m here today. Powered through the line at his latest victory which shows she wants further. Has found the right race to make it back-to-back.
1st: No8 VALENCIANO 2nd: No5 Diamond Bliss; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No9 Debate; 4th: No2 Tatiara
Sandown Race 6 - 5:30PM Yulong Handicap (2400 Metres)
BIANCO NUOVO is a consistent gelding that won well on this track last start and is out to make it successive victories over the 2400m. Led and fended off all challenges when defeating Wee Gilly by half a length and going on that we expect him to take a power of running down yet again. Will lead and give them something to chase.
1st: No4 BIANCO NUOVO 2nd: No1 Dialectic; 3rd: No6 Nothin’ Leica High; 4th: No9 Mr Drew
Sandown Race 7 - 6:00PM Le Pine Funerals Handicap (1500 Metres)
TOORAK WARRIOR is on the quick back-up and looks well placed to be first past the post going on his latest efforts. Found one better on the day when finishing a length behind Stocktaka and drawn one, he is perfectly placed to be in the first half dozen turning for home. Hard to hold out.
1st: No7 TOORAK WARRIOR 2nd: No4 Venezuela; 3rd: No8 Atlantic Express; 4th: No2 Radical
Sandown Race 8 - 6:30PM Our Lost Loved Ones Handicap (1600 Metres)
*SCRATCHED* THINK I’M DREAMING is the one to beat in the final event of the program at Sandown today. This mare looked ultra impressive when running away to a 2.8 length victory at Pakenham last start and looks hard to go past again. In good form.
1st: *SCRATCHED* No6 THINK I’M DREAMING 2nd: No3 Chattering; 3rd: No7 Silent Roar; 4th: No4 Music Of The Night
