We have identified a few serious players at Wagga and Terang today that look well placed and sure to be very competitive. Our top pick looks well placed to bounce back in today winnable event. Did race in some handy races last preparation and back in this grade he will go close.

Wagga is racing on a Good 4 with the rail +3m from 1400m to WP, True remainder.

Terang is a Good 4 with the rail true.

Wagga Race 2 - 1:30PM The Brothers War Class 1 & Maiden Plate (1600 Metres)

The favourite BLACK WAND has drawn to get the run of the race and looks well placed to bounce back into the winner’s circle here today. Finished three lengths behind Yuralla Boy at Muswellbrook a fortnight back when lumping 61kgs on Heavy going. Drops a few kgs for this and the Kurt Goldman runner looks hard to toss.

1st: No1 BLACK WAND 2nd: No3 Zarvalante; 3rd: No5 Star of Serena; 4th: No4 Dictation

Wagga Race 4 - 2:50PM Magic Albert @Kooringal 2YO Handicap (1200 Metres)

Looks a perfect race for MISS GENEVA (NEXT BEST BET) to break through fourth-up here today over the 1200m. Chased hard but failed to reel in Calascent when beaten by half a length on this track last start. Trialled nicely behind the very smart Dresden Green earlier in her prep. Maps to get back but watch for her late.

1st: No2 MISS GENEVA 2nd: No9 Alasaayel; 3rd: No11 Exotic Deal; 4th: No8 Stand Your Ground

Terang Race 5 - 3:20PM Westmeath BM78 Handicap (1200 Metres)

Looks a perfect race for INDIAN THUNDER (BEST BET) to bounce back after finishing less than a length behind Mandela Effect at Bendigo a fortnight back. Did race in some handy city races last preparation so back in this grade we expect him to take a power of beating. Did beat Simply Invincible home at Caulfield back in January and that is very good form for a race like this.

1st: No6 INDIAN THUNDER 2nd: No5 Holy Command; 3rd: No4 So Far Sokool; 4th: No2 Artie Dee Two

Wagga Race 5 - 3:30PM Prized Icon 2019 Wagga Town Plate Prelude (1200 Metres)

Despite the awkward draw, STEPHAN is the one to beat. Has been racing in consistent form of late and going on his win at Warwick Farm last start, he is ready to make it successive victories here today. Will settle near the rear and be saved for one big crack at them in the straight. Major player.

1st: No1 STEPHAN 2nd: No3 Who’s Knocking 3rd: No6 Jester Angel; 4th No5 Sure And Fast

Terang Race 8 - 5:00PM Jim McKinnon Neville Wilson Series Heat 3 BM70 Handicap (1400 Metres)

Can’t see anything upsetting EAGLE RIDGE in this. Didn’t have much luck when held up for the majority of the straight and only seeing daylight late on when the race was over. Looked to have plenty to give last time and only needs to find clear galloping room to be fighting the finish out. Will go close.

1st: No9 EAGLE RIDGE 2nd: No5 Sunday Night Tea; 3rd: No3 Elite Drake; 4th: No1 Stealthy Lucas
