We have another solid meeting at Caulfield today and expecting as few in-form gallopers to keep their good form in tack. As they say, winning form is good form and our top pick is a galloper that’s ready to pounce and make it successive victories here today. Just watch for him launching at them late.

Caulfield is racing on a Good 4 with the rail out 5m entire circuit.

QUADDIE:

R6: 2,5,8,11

R7: 1,3,6,8

R8: 1,2,6,9

R9: 1,7,10,11

Caulfield Race 1 - 12:05PM Keno Classic Handicap (1000 Metres)

Early money suggests WILLIAM THOMAS, first-up in nearly a year will take a power of beating in the opening event. Went around in some handy races last preparation which includes a victory over Sun Quan on this track. Has drawn poorly but has the ability to be first past the post. Will be in this for a long way.

1st: No2 WILLIAM THOMAS 2nd: No1 Pravro; 3rd: No5 Sam’s Image; 4th: No9 Seven Year Reward

Caulfield Race 2 - 12:40PM Keno Fun Money Handicap (1400 Metres)

Can’t see anything upsetting the in-form MANDELA EFFECT that’s looking to make it four straight victories on the trot on a track it’s won previously. Charged home to defeat Indian Thunder by just under a length at Bendigo a month back and with the freshen up we expect this gelding to keep going with his winning ways. Major player.

1st: No1 MANDELA EFFECT 2nd: No3 Renewal; 3rd: No5 Call It A Day; 4th: No2 Bel Sonic

Caulfield Race 3 - 1:15PM Blue Gum Farm VOBIS Gold Distaff (1400 Metres)

Topweight TWITCHY FRANK has drawn well and looks perfectly placed to bounce back into the winner’s circle after placing at Bendigo late March. Expect him to settle just behind the speed and be saved for one crack at them in the straight. Winning hope.

1st: No1 TWITCHY FRANK 2nd: No2 Truly Discreet; 3rd: No4 River Jewel; 4th: No5 Think I’m Dreaming

Caulfield Race 4 - 1:50PM Spendthrift Australia VOBIS 3YO Sires (1600 Metres)

TARWIN (BEST BET) is a lightly raced gelding out of the in-form Mick Kent stable that looks to have a bright future and will take a power of beating over the mile here today. Flew home from the tail of the field to defeat Seberate by 1.5 lengths on this track last start and with the good gate (two), she’s the one to beat. Found the line well last start so the 1600m is no issue. Top pick.

1st: No3 TARWIN 2nd: No1 Saccharo; 3rd: No6 Wham; 4th: No2 Ligulate

Caulfield Race 5 - 2:30PM Avenel Equine Hospital VOBIS Gold Dash (1100 Metres)

We are backing COLUMBUS CIRCLE to go back-to-back for trainer Nick Ryan. Took the run when the gap appeared and drove hard to get the victory in the final few strides on this track last and showed that he has some talent. Stick with him.

1st: No2 COLUMBUS CIRCLE 2nd: No1 Halvorsen; 3rd: No5 Fine Dane; 4th: No9 Thine Is The Power

Caulfield Race 6 - 3:10PM Ladbrokes Showdown (1200 Metres)

PRINCE OF SUSSEX looked impressive when defeating The Executioner by 2.2 lengths at his second start at Bendigo a month back. Showed a blistering turn of foot last time out and that’s why we are sticking with him to storm over the top of them again. Confident will run a big race.

1st: No2 PRINCE OF SUSSEX 2nd: No5 Groot; 3rd: No11 Flostar; 4th: No8 Sartorial Splendor

Caulfield Race 7 - 3:50PM Hygain VOBIS Gold Heath (2000 Metres)

Sticking with MR QUICKIE to bounce back and atone his narrow defeat behind the in-form Grinzinger Star. Looked home before the winner launched late and knocked him off. Mr Quickie had to concede 6kgs to that horse and Grinzinger Star has franked the form by winning again. The gelding is a seven-time winner from just 10 career outings and we are backing him for another win here.

1st: No8 MR QUICKIE 2nd: No3 Barry The Baptist; 3rd: No6 Remember The Name; 4th: No1 Mahamedeis

Caulfield Race 8 - 4:30PM IRT VOBIS Gold Mile (1600 Metres)

WIDGEE TURF (NEXT BEST BET) looks a moral to bounce back into the winner’s circle after finishing 5.3 lengths behind Brutal in the Group One Doncaster at Randwick a fortnight back. Back in this grade but possesses a brilliant finish and can run over the top of them here. Danger.

1st: No1 WIDGEE TURF 2nd: No2 Waging War; 3rd: No6 Eagle Ridge; 4th: No9 Think Bleue

Caulfield Race 9 - 5:05PM Newmarket Grandwest VOBIS Gold Sprint (1200 Metres)

MISS LEONIDAS looks perfectly placed to take out the final event of the program at Caulfield today. Led, controlled the race and proved too smart for her rivals when defeating I Am Someone by less than a length on this track last start. Ticks all the boxes once again.

1st: No10 MISS LEONIDAS 2nd: No7 Moonlight Ruby; 3rd: No11 Miss Vixen; 4th: No1 Ashlor
