Friday Racing Tips - 14th June
There are a few nice ones we have found at Dubbo and Geelong as we look to build a betting bank for the weekend.
We have identified a few key runners at Dubbo and Geelong that look well placed and expected to prove hard to beat. Our top pick is looking to make it three wins on the trot and looks perfectly placed to rack up the hattrick of victories.
Dubbo is racing on a Good 3 with the rail True.
Geelong is racing on a Heavy 10 with the rail Out 9m entire.
Dubbo Race 2 - 12:55PM Fly Pelican 3YO & UP Maiden Showcase Handicap (1000 Metres)
Expecting the unlucky WHAT THE FUSS to break through for his much deserved maiden victory after finishing runner-up at his past two. Chased hard and looked home only for the winner to kick back late at Wellington last start. Has had three weeks between runs and is poised to strike here.
1st: No2 WHAT THE FUSS 2nd: No3 Egyptian Amulet; 3rd: No6 Expellable 4th *SCRATCHED* No1 Hez Arrived
Dubbo Race 3 - 1:35PM Money Quest Open Showcase Handicap (1000 Metres)
Looks a perfect race for the track specialist JETGIRL (NEXT BEST BET) to bounce back into the winner’s circle after finishing 1.2 lengths behind Taken Everything at Hawkesbury in May. Look for her to lead and take plenty of running down over a distance which will suit as its 100m than her previous outing. Gets Matthew Cahill on board which is a big tick.
1st: No5 JETGIRL 2nd: No1 Anna’s Joy; 3rd: No2 Absolute Ripper; 4th: No9 Cannizzaro
Dubbo Race 5 - 2:50PM Dubbo Chamber Rhino Awards Cup Open Showcase Handicap (1600 Metres)
Can’t see anything upsetting the in-form SUGAR DANCE (BEST BET) as he looks to make it three wins on the trot. Led and proved too good when defeating his rivals by half a length at Wellington last start to go with a narrow victory on this track two starts back, when also leading. Has plenty of early toe and will prove hard to beat over the mile. Major player!
1st: No1 SUGAR DANCE 2nd: No2 Cool and Neat; 3rd: No6 Any Blinkin’ Day 4th: No4 Lamma Hilton
Geelong Race 8 - 3:30PM Bendigo Bank Cup BM78 Handicap (1140 Metres)
*SCRATCHED* STREET TOUGH is a lightly raced galloper with a handy record that looks perfectly placed to make it successive victories at Geelong today. This Tasmanian galloper won well at Launceston three weeks back and going on that effort he will take a power of beating here today. Racing in super form and looks to have a bright future. Serious hope!
1st: *SCRATCHED* No9 STREET TOUGH 2nd: No6 Soul Fire 3rd: No10 Rat With Goldtooth 4th: No4 Highland Beat
Dubbo Race 8 - 4:40PM Regional Australia Bank Showcase Class 1 Handicap (1100 Metres)
Lightly raced filly MORNAY is resuming from a 21-week spell and with two trials under her belt, expect her to prove hard to beat over a distance she tasted success over in the past. Raced in the handy Gosford Guineas at her second race start when finishing well down the track, which was won by the smart galloper Military Zone. Looks well placed in this grade and expected to go close to taking it out. Win won’t shock.
1st: No4 MORNAY 2nd: No2 Maid in Milan; 3rd: No5 Chevron Prince 4th: No8 Red Russian
