We race at Sandown for the second time this week following their huge Saturday card and we have found some nice gallopers to follow today. Our top pick is resuming from a break and looks to have found the right race to bounce straight into the winner’s circle. Confident will go close and is a huge chance to score.

Sandown is racing on a Soft 7 with the rail True.

QUADDIE:

5-3,6,7,8

6-2,6,10,11

7-2,5,6,7

8-4,6,11,12

Sandown Race 1 - 12:25PM Yulong Handicap (1000 Metres)

Tough race but sticking with the last start winner *SCRATCHED* TERRIFYING to make it back-to-back victories after saluting by a narrow margin at Pakenham a fortnight ago. Goes up in weight but expected to be one of the gallopers fighting the finish out over the 1000m dash.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No3 TERRIFYING 2nd:  No1 Maozi; 3rd: No2 Stardayz 4th: No4 Chassis

Sandown Race 2 - 1:00PM Long Fine Plate (2400 Metres)

SKYWAY STAR didn’t have much luck in the straight when finishing well down the track at Caulfield last start, but she has found a race here today that sees her capable of going close to taking out. If you go on her placing in the Group 3 SA Fillies Classic at Morphettvile two starts back, she should be too good for today’s rivals. Major player.

1st: No2 SKYWAY STAR 2nd:  No5 Dunmam; 3rd No4 Wealthy Wolf; 4th: *SCRATCHED* No8 Demand Attention

Sandown Race 3 - 1:35PM Blue Star Print Handicap (2400 Metres)

Despite a last start disappointing effort, *SCRATCHED* BEA TEMPTED can bounce back over the mile-and-a-half here today. Go on her victory two starts back at Sandown when defeating No Money No Honey by 1.75 lengths. Has drawn well and confident she will run the trip out. Key player.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No8 BEA TEMPTED 2nd:  No10 Jake’s Hill; 3rd: No11 Tata da Goose 4th: No6 Nashville Sound

Sandown Race 4 - 2:10PM Clanbrooke Racing Handicap (1600 Metres)

COLLECTABLE ran home strong from a midfield position to defeat Tigeen by two lengths at Seymour last start and we expect this R Griffiths-trained galloper to make it back-to-back victories. Drawn well and just needs to see clear galloping room in the straight.

1st: No1 COLLECTABLE 2nd:  No4 Kiss and Cry 3rd: No5 Tides 4th: No2 Shark in the Water

Sandown Race 5 - 2:45PM Le Pine Funerals Handicap (1800 Metres)

Looks a good race for the consistent MELLORS to rack up his third victory here today. Finished two lengths behind Loveisili who then won again at his next start so the form should stack up for the Hayes, Hayes and Dabernig-trained gelding. Gets in well with the claim.

1st: No8 MELLORS 2nd:  No7 Ma Jones; 3rd: No3 Tuff Bickie, 4th: No6 Four Carat

Sandown Race 6 - 3:20PM Ladbrokes Back Yourself Handicap (1000 Metres)

SWEET JAZZ (BEST BET) is resuming from a 22-week layoff and expected to prove hard to beat first-up here today. This lightly raced filly won her debut at Stony Creek back in December before finishing a length behind Bold Arial in a three-year-old classic at Flemington. Perfectly suited and will take a power of beating. On top for us!

1st: No6 SWEET JAZZ 2nd:  No2 Algadon Miss; 3rd: No10 Trilli; 4th: No11 Manasari

Sandown Race 7 - 3:55PM Krudler Areas Thanks Beamer Handicap (1300 Metres)

*SCRATCHED* IT’S A MYTH stormed home to defeat Fergus Magergus by a length at Pakenham last start and looks a major player as she looks to make it back-to-back victories here today. Does drop back to the 1300m but if she finds clear galloping in the straight can blow these away as she possesses a good turn of foot. Keep safe.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No5 IT’S A MYTH 2nd:  No2 Undoubtable Miss; 3rd: No6 Vitani 4th: No7 Abinger

Sandown Race 8 - 4:30PM Ladbrokes Odds Boost Handicap (1400 Metres)

EVIL CRY (NEXT BEST BET) looks well placed to take out the final event of the program at Sandown today going on her narrow defeat behind Benitoite at Sale seven days ago. Is on the quick back up so stable must be full of confidence. Expected to go close and we have her as the one they all need to beat. Serious chance.

1st: No12 EVIL CRY 2nd:  No11 Painte; 3rd: No4 Notio 4th: No6 Satori
