Saturday Racing Previews & Tips - Eagle Farm 22nd June

SKY Racing Tatt’s Tiara Day for the final Group One of the season and what a program we have at Eagle Farm!

Thu, 20 Jun, 12:00 AM

We have a huge day of racing at Eagle Farm today with the feature being the final Group One of the season – the SKY Racing Tattersall's Tiara. Our top pick on what looks a huge day on the punt is dropping a mile in class and will benefit from having a few weeks off. Will go close.

Eagle Farm is racing on a Good 4 with the rail out 4m the entire.

R6: 4,7,8,9

R7: 1,3,6,8

R8: 8,11,17,18

R9: 2,3,4,5

Eagle Farm Race 1 - 11:10AM Singapore Airlines Benchmark 75 Handicap (1000 Metres)

LIFESAVER just held on when defeating Madame Pauline by a lip at Randwick a month back and should perform strongly here four weeks between runs. Out of the strong Matty Dunn stable, Lifesaver has own second-up in the past too. Keep safe.

1st: No11 LIFESAVER 2nd: No7 I’ve Gotta Nel; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No3 Raiden; 4th: No4 Boom Chicka Boom

Eagle Farm Race 2 - 11:45AM Winning Edge Presentations Stakes (1400 Metres)

KORDIA is a gelding from the Godolphin stable that’s coming off a narrow victory at Canterbury last start and is poised for the step up in grade here today. Maps to be on the speed throughout from the pole and will be hard to hold out. Blake Shinn is a key booking.

1st: No2 KORDIA 2nd: No1 Discharged; 3rd: No5 Snowzone; 4th: No12 Game of Thorns

Eagle Farm Race 3 - 12:20PM 2019 TAB Battle Of the Bush (Final) No Metro Wins-Last 2 Years Quality Hcp (SC) (1200 Metres)

DEADLY CHOICES has returned from a spell in fine fashion, just as he left, and going on his victory at Cloncurry last start, he will go close in this. Has won six of 21, gets Blake Shinn which is a big plus and loves the distance having finished in the money in seven of his 10 attempts over it. Can win.

1st: No5 DEADLY CHOICES 2nd: No8 Music Scene; 3rd: No9 Machu Picchu; 4th: No1 Fab’s Cowboy

Eagle Farm Race 4 - 12:55PM Stella Artois 3YO Plate (1400 Metres)

VEGA ONE (BEST BET) will start the short-priced favourite and should be too smart for his rivals back in this grade. Finished 3.7 lengths behind Military Zone in the Group 3 Fred Best Classic on this track at the end of May before a slight let-up. Was flying prior to that which included a victory over Multaja in Listed grade. Top pick.

1st: No1 VEGA ONE 2nd: No3 Usmanov; 3rd: No7 Malahide; 4th: No2 Cyber Attack

Eagle Farm Race 5 - 1:35PM Stav, Abby and Matt Class 6 Plate (1400 Metres)

SWEET DEAL comes in well at the weights and appeals as a handy investment. Finished fifth in the Group Two Dane Ripper last time out and actually drops 1.5kgs for this assignment. Drawn 13 which is a bit sticky but should posse up no worse than midfield. Has a brilliant second-up record (4s 1w 3p) and is more than capable of knocking these out.

1st: No14 SWEET DEAL 2nd: No7 Awake The Stars; 3rd: No9 Shogun Sun; 4th: No1 Follow Suit

Eagle Farm Race 6 - 2:15PM Lazy Yak Tattersall’s Cup (3000 Metres)

VOW AND DECLARE was unlucky in some punters’ eyes last start when unsuccessfully protesting against the winner in the Queensland Derby. Was hampered in the concluding stages when finishing less than a length off Mr Quickie and the way he savaged the line suggests the extra 600m of this shouldn’t be a worry. Get’s Glen Boss on board for this one and the Danny O’Brien stable is flying. Has to give away age to his rivals but looks poised for a big run.

1st: No9 VOW AND DECLARE 2nd: No4 Sampson; 3rd: No7 Sin To Win; 4th: No8 Etah James

Eagle Farm Race 7 - 2:55PM G.H. Mumm Open (1820 Metres)

Sticking with the J O’Shea-trained LIVE AND FREE that finished two lengths from Pacadoli at Caulfield a fortnight ago. Was well back and worked to the line nicely as a heavily backed favourite last start which followed a narrow third to the in-form Grey Lion in the Lord Mayor’s Cup. Distance suits, track conditions suit and gets G Boss for this assignment. Definite danger.

1st: No8 LIVE AND FREE 2nd: No1 Duca Valentinios; 3rd: No3 Lite‘n in My Veins; 4th: No6 Vinland

Eagle Farm Race 8 - 3:35PM SKY Racing Tattersall’s Tiara (1400 Metres)

Sticking with the in-form filly from the Godolphin stable MULTAJA in what shapes as her toughest test to date. Hasn’t finished worse than runner-up at her past five starts and was super impressive winning the Helen Coughlan Stakes, exploding over the final 300 metres after being held up for a run. Stable is hot and gets the retiring Jeff Lloyd aboard for his final tilt at a Group One. Hard to toss.

1st: No17 MULTAJA 2nd: No11 Noire; 3rd: No8 Winter Bride; 4th: No18 Pohutukawa

Eagle Farm Race 9 - 4:15PM Simon George & Sons W.J Healy Stakes (1200 Metres)

VICTOREM scored impressively at this track last time out and there is no reason why he can’t do it again in this. Flashed home from the clouds to nail Whypeeo in Listed grade on June 8 but should settle much close from two. Does get back in his races but has the best finish in the race. Classy type.

1st: No2 VICTOREM 2nd: No5 Quilista; 3rd: No4 Alassio; 4th: No3 Brave Song
