Saturday Racing Previews & Tips - Flemington 6th July
Metro racing heads back to Flemington and with the rail going back to the true we think every horse will get their chance to be competitive.
Looks like another solid Saturday meeting at Flemington today with a few in-form gallopers going around that looked well placed to be winning again. Our top pick looks to have a bright future and expected to take a power of beating as he looks to make it four wins on the trot for Mike Moroney and Damien Oliver.
Flemington is racing on a Soft 6 with the rail True.
Flemington Race 1 - 11:45AM Leilani Series Final (1400 Metres)
*SCRATCHED* ORGANZA looks a moral in the opening event of the program at Flemington today. Has finished in the placings at all three starts since resuming from a break in much better races than this. Major player!
1st: *SCRATCHED* No1 ORGANZA 2nd: No3 Pria Eclipse; 3rd: No4 El Questro; 4th: No2 Pop Queen
Flemington Race 2 - 12:20PM VRC-CRV Cup Tour Trophy (2000 Metres)
MASCULINO proved too smart for his rivals at Caulfield last start and is expected to go close to making it successive victories here today. Led and powered away in the straight for a 2.2 length victory and can produce a similar effort that will see his rivals chase hard valiantly in the straight. Liked how he won last start.
1st: No3 MASCULINO 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No1 Pacodali; 3rd: No4 Tan Tat Trusting; 4th: No7 The Statesman
Flemington Race 3 - 12:55PM Silver Bowl Series Final (1600 Metres)
Sticking with exciting and lightly raced BUFFALO RIVER (BEST BET) that gave his rivals a galloping lesson at Sandown last start, winning by 3.5 lengths. Had the run of the race and pounced in the final furlong, racing clear for an impressive win. Looking to making it four wins on the trot and with D Oliver on board we are confident it will happen. Top pick.
1st: No1 BUFFALO RIVER 2nd: No2 Asgard Massif; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No6 Wonderful Riri; 4th: No3 Mr Exclusiv
Flemington Race 4 - 1:30PM Banjo Paterson Series Final (2600 Metres)
CHOUXTING THE MOB has won his past four starts and landed some big bets last time out and we are tipping that will be the case again today. Defeated Flow Meter by half a length on this track a fortnight ago to go when he appeared in trouble at the 300m. Tough as old boots and will be throwing punches at the finish. Gives Oliver a big chance yet again.
1st: No1 CHOUXTING THE MOB 2nd: No2 Mawaany Machine; 3rd: No4 Last Week; 4th: No8 Future
Flemington Race 5 - 2:10PM Taj Rossi Series Final (1600 Metres)
Lightly raced P Payne-trained filly RUBISAKI looks perfectly placed to rack up the hat-trick of victories here today after winning her past two starts in impressive fashion. Charged home to defeat The Astrologist by 2.3 lengths here last start to go with a 2.2 length victory at Seymour. Looks to have a bright future. The one to toss.
1st: No3 RUBISAKI 2nd: No1 Cassius; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No5 Desert Dreamer; 4th: No8 Moonlight Mai
Flemington Race 6 - 2:50PM The Mahogany Challenge Final (2500 Metres)
DOGMATIC finished 3.5 lengths behind Tavirun at Caulfield seven days back and on the quick back up he is the one they all need to beat. Steps up to the 2500m and should be better suited at Flemington. Keep safe.
1st: No1 DOGMATIC 2nd: No3 Igniter; 3rd: No2 Not A Single Cent; 4th: No9 Wealthy Wol
Flemington Race 7 - 3:30PM All Victorian Sprint Series Final (1200 Metres)
MILWAUKEE loves racing on the track (7:4-1-1) and could make it win number five at Flemington here. The Mike Moroney-trained runner is a track specialist and arrived in time to beat I’m Telling Ya and Holy Blade in an exciting finish last time out. Prior to that was a narrow second to Order Of Command. Is a three-time winner over the course and distance. Big chance.
1st: No3 MILWAUKEE 2nd: No7 Smart Coupe; 3rd: No1 Tshahitsi; 4th: No2 Malibu Styl
Flemington Race 8 - 4:10PM VRC-CRV Winter Championship Series Final (1600 Metres)
In-form WAGING WAR is the one they all need to beat in today’s final over the mile. Despite the wide draw we are expecting this gelding to bounce back after narrowly tasting defeat at Sandown last start when Mr Marathon Man divebombed him on the line. Won well at Morphettville the start prior. Winning hope.
1st: No4 WAGING WAR 2nd: No1 Mr Marathon Man; 3rd: No5 Federal; 4th: No9 Reykjavik
Flemington Race 9 - 4:44PM Rivette Series Final (1600 Metres)
SURE KNEE looked impressive when defeating Mr Exclusive by two lengths on this track last start and off the back of that effort she is the one to beat again. Has to give her rivals a minimum 4kgs in weight but she has earnt it. Gets Craig Williams back on board. Winning form is good form.
1st: No1 SURE KNEE 2nd: No3 Fabric; 3rd: No8 Shamal Lass; 4th: *SCRATCHED* No10 So You Swing
