Wednesday Balaklava Best Bets - 17th July
We have found three ‘good things’ at Balaklava who have some pretty solid form heading into the program.
We have identified three serious hopes at Balaklava that are perfectly placed and will give you a fantastic run for your money.
Balaklava is racing on a Soft 5 with the rail out 3m 1900m to 1500m, true remainder.
Balaklava Race 3 - 1:50PM (AEST) Roseworthy Car Spa / SABOIS Maiden Plate (1400 Metres)
KNAVESMIRE has found the right race here today as he looks to get his maiden victory out of the way. Had every chance but found one too good on the day when beaten by 2.3 lengths at Gawler first-up from a 28-week layoff. Will strip fitter second-up and is a major player.
1st: No4 KNAVESMIRE 2nd: No9 So Intelligent; 3rd: No3 Dreamland; 4th: No1 Ciroc
Balaklava Race 6 - 3:35PM (AEST) Adelaide Galvanising Industries Benchmark 60 Handicap (1400 Metres)
BOOMER BEACH looks well placed to bounce back into the winners stalls here today over the 1400m. Finished 2.2 lengths behind Bold Star at Morphettville a fortnight back when not having much luck in running. Gets in well with the claim here today and will be coming home hard down the straight. Keep safe.
1st: No2 BOOMER BEACH 2nd: No3 Exalted Traveller; 3rd: No4 Misty Halo; 4th: No8 Outlaw
Balaklava Race 7 - 4:10PM (AEST) Coopers Benchmark 60 Handicap (1600 Metres)
SVETLANAS ARROW chased hard in the straight to defeat Exalted Traveller at Gawler last start and looks well placed to make it successive victories here today. Has been racing in solid form since resuming from a break and going on those efforts we expect this mare to prove hard to beat over the mile. Winning hope.
1st: No10 SVETLANAS ARROW 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No7 Real Thinker; 3rd: No3 Marman; 4th: No1 Bam
