We have identified three serious hopes at Gawler that are perfectly placed and should appreciate the task of their respective assignments. We start early in the day in race two before banking on a consistent type to break his maiden before rounding out the day with an impressive last start winner. Give them strength and chuck them into a multi!

Gawler is racing on a soft 5 with the rail out 2 metres entire.

Gawler Race 2 - 1:50PM (AEST) Gawler Cup – ‘Twilight’ Friday Oct 25th / SABOIS Maiden Plate (2118 Metres)

SILVER JEWEL is the one to beat in this small field over the 2118m here today. Chased hard but was no match for Exalted Ruth when finishing 2.6 lengths behind the winner on this track last week. Will appreciate the step up in distance so expect to see him coming home hard.

1st: No5 SILVER JEWEL 2nd: No2 Foxy Ambition; 3rd: No1 American Hipster; 4th: No3 Lyrickin’s Dream

Gawler Race 5 - 3:35PM (AEST) Lyndoch Motors / SABOIS Maiden Plate (1200 Metres)

Can’t see anything upsetting BROTHERHOOD OF MAN as he looks to break through for a much-deserved maiden victory after three placings from four starts. Has finished runner-up at his past two starts including a three-length defeat behind Cibachrome at Morphettville a fortnight back. Has an awkward draw to deal with but looks a few lengths above his rivals. Big danger.  the one to beat. Major player.

1st: No2 BROTHERHOOD OF MAN 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No7 Liverpool Lane; 3rd: No8 New Testament; 4th: No9 Rustle Up

Gawler Race 8 - 5:20PM (AEST) Holdfast Insurance Benchmark 60 Handicap (1200 METRES)

SUNMATE broke through on this track last start and looks well placed to make it back-to-back victories in the final event. Chased hard to defeat Equimoore by a length a fortnight ago when getting the split at the furlong mark and letting go with a good turn of foot. Up in class but can figure in a race he is capable of taking out. Fitter now that he is second-up.

1st: No1 SUNMATE 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No2 Abbi Fede; 3rd: No4 Artic Blaze; 4th: No6 Mia Georgia
