Wednesday Racing Previews & Tips - Bendigo 11th September
Bendigo host a handy nine-race card and there could be some value to be found across the program.
Open program with plenty of chances here at Bendigo with a few of these looking to be a punters nightmare! Our top pick is a lightly raced galloper that looks to have a bright staying future and will take a power of beating here today.
Bendigo is racing on a Soft 5 with the rail out 9m entire circuit.
Bendigo Race 1 - 12:25PM Jayco 3YO Maiden Plate (1000 Metres)
ORDER OF FURY has race experience over his rivals today and with D Oliver in the saddle, he will prove hard to beat over the 1000m dash. Second-up now and narrowly beaten on debut but saw enough that day to suggest he can go one better.
1st: No7 ORDER OF FURY 2nd: No6 Meteorite; 3rd: No8 Telekinesis; 4th: No1 Bracken
Bendigo Race 2 - 1:00PM Bendigo Mazda Maiden Plate (2400 Metres)
Looking to atone her half a length defeat at Warrnambool, VIRTUOUS looks poised to pounce and get her maiden victory out of the way at her seventh race start. Will have no issue with the distance and expected to go close here today. Rates well.
1st: No12 VIRTUOUS 2nd: No11 Ruby Sunrise; 3rd: No4 Mr Bodecker; 4th: No1 Bedouin King
Bendigo Race 3 - 1:35PM Reece 3YO Maiden Plate (1600 Metres)
Sticking with MISS HARRIETTE that’s drawn well and is ready to break through after going down by the narrowest of margins at Pakenham last start. Sat three-wide but kept on coming for an unlucky performance and gets here from a better barrier. Will go close.
1st: No10 MISS HARRIETTE 2nd: No6 Serious Liaison; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No2 Epsom Days 4th: No5 Sebsilk
Bendigo Race 4 - 2:10PM Avis Bendigo Cars and Trucks 3YO Fillies BM70 Handicap (1600 Metres)
MIAMI BOUND charged home late to defeat Brilliant Venture by half a length on this track for her maiden victory and looks well placed to make it back-to-back victories despite the rise in grade. Has the man D Oliver on board and shapes as one of the serious hopes.
1st: No2 MIAMI BOUND 2nd: No1 Frazil; 3rd: No4 Moonlight Maid; 4th: No6 Pierro Rose
Bendigo Race 5 - 2:45PM Mawsons BM64 Handicap (1000 Metres)
Last start winner *SCRATCHED* MAZESTIC has the form to take out today’s race over the 1000m distance that she relishes and has won three from six starts over. Has had a month off since tasting success at Casterton and can measure up to these in town. Gets Williams on board which is a big tick.
1st: *SCRATCHED* No12 MAZESTIC 2nd: No8 Chicago Cub; 3rd: No10 Snows Bro; 4th: No3 Havadash
Bendigo Race 6 - 3:20PM Drake International BM64 Handicap (2200 Metres)
SHEPARD (BEST BET) is a lightly raced gelding that looks to be on the way up and going on his 1.2 length victory at Sale a month back he will take plenty of beating over the 2200m today. Looks like a serious stayer in the making and expecting him to prove too strong form his rival’s as he heads onto bigger things in the future. Big show expected.
1st: No5 SHEPARD 2nd: No2 Moss ‘n’ Bolt; 3rd: No9 Steinbrenner; 4th: No11 Davelliom
Bendigo Race 7 - 3:55PM Adroit Insurance Brokers BM70 Handicap (1600 Metres)
Drawn to get the run of the race sees ANUBIS the one to beat over the mile today. This Chris Waller-trained colt looked impressive when storming away to a 3.2 length victory at Sandown last start and going on that, he can go on with the job. Hard to go past.
1st: No14 ANUBIS 2nd: No9 Tavidance; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No2 Roland Garros; 4th: *SCRATCHED* No1 Stealthy Lucas
Bendigo Race 8 - 4:30PM Bet365 Fillies and Mares BM78 Handicap (1500 Metres)
TIDES finished 2.4 lengths from Lady Loft at Sandown first-up from a 10-week break a fortnight ago and with that run under her belt, expect this Anthony Freedman-trained mare to prove hard to beat here today. Has drawn well and will be launching at her rivals late. Stable is going well too.
1st: No10 TIDES 2nd: No3 Oceanex; 3rd: No1 Hay Now; 4th: No4 Rat With Goldtooth
Bendigo Race 9 - 5:05PM The Big Screen Company BM70 Handicap (1300 Metres)
MEAN MISTER (NEXT BEST BET) is an ultra-consistent gelding that’s looking to atone his narrow defeat at Sandown a fortnight ago when nabbed in the shadows of the post. Go on his 3.2 length victory two starts back when powering away from his rivals also at Sandown. The one to beat on recent efforts.
1st: No2 MEAN MISTER 2nd: No1 Cuban Toonite; 3rd: No5 Ridgewood Drive; 4th: *SCRATCHED* No7 Mutual Respect
