Wednesday Racing Tips: Warwick Farm & Cranbourne - 18th September
We have found three horses to follow this afternoon at the Warwick Farm and Cranbourne meetings.
Our expert has come up with three ‘good things’ to follow this afternoon. Chris Waller is in charge with our best bet of the day while a noted wet-tracker will be suited down at Cranbourne at eachway odds. Finally, our roughie of the day will be storming home at Warwick Farm and represents value.
Warwick Farm is racing on a Soft 6 with the rail in the true.
Cranbourne is racing on a Heavy 8 with the rail out 9m the entire circuit
Cranbourne Race 5 - 3:20PM Inglis Ready2Race Sale BM70 Handicap (2080 Metres)
Consistent mare ROOM TO RHYME (EACHWAY) has conditions to suit and shapes as a great eachway investment. She has placed in four straight races and drops a mile in class off her previous outing when flying home at Caulfield to finish second to Benitoite as a $101 chance. Gets a Heavy track for this and she has finished in the placings on four of six occasions in the mud (one win). Gets a 2kg claim for Teo Nugent so the ticks keep on coming.
1st: No11 ROOM TO RHYME
Warwick Farm Race 5 - 3:45PM TAB Handicap (1300 Metres)
Hard not to catch the way ISKANDER (ROUGHIE) hit the line last time out. The daughter of I Am Invincible rattled home from last on the Kenso to finish half a length second behind Standout on Sep 4. Gets a Soft track for this which she has won on in the past when breaking her maiden. From barrier four she should be up in the leading division turning for home and the extra 200m of this looks right up her alley. Value runner.
1st: No16 ISKANDER
Warwick Farm Race 6 - 4:20PM ANZ Bloodstock News Handicap (1600 Metres)
Chris Waller’s talented mare looks one of the bets of the day. DUCHESS OF LENNNOX (BEST BET) hit the line well first-up since June when fourth to Mapmaker and the mile journey second-up will be right up her alley. Was last on the turn and never had clear running in the straight and should’ve finished closer. From gate eight, she maps to go back but gets James McDonald on board for this while the Soft track won’t be an issue. Will be storming home!
1st: No6 DUCHESS OF LENNOX
