NFL Week 16 Tips & Betting Preview
Oddschecker's NFL ambassador has three picks for you as we approach the business end of the season.
Washington Redskins @ Tennessee Titans
First up, let’s look at the Titans hosting the Redskins, who are on their fourth QB but still in the hunt! Josh Johnson should be feeling himself a bit after getting his first win as a starter.
The Titans are going to be a tough assignment though for Washington. They need to keep believing in themselves and to do the things they do well in order to have a chance.
Tennessee is a tough place to go and the Titans are overwhelming favourites. I think they will win, but maybe not have it their own way. I can’t see them winning by any more than 10 points, and you can get $6 on a 1-6 point winning margin. That to me is value!
Baltimore Ravens @ Los Angeles Chargers
Next, the Ravens and Chargers will be facing off and this one could really go either way. Baltimore with Lemar Jackson is a different offence to most we see. They are always trying something different and having a player who can run with the ball so well gives them a different dimension.
But I can’t bring myself to back them. They can’t score quickly and they are going to have to have a stellar day on defence to stop the Chargers. This could be a game though where LA score around 20 but still bring home the W. It’s why I’m going for the unders line in the total points market.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Seattle Seahawks
Finally, the Chiefs take on the Seahawks and Seattle are such a home team right now. Away, they lose to a below average San Francisco team. At home, they take the Rams to the last minute!
However, Kansas City are consistent. They will always score points and it could well be enough to give Patrick Mahomes the MVP award. If you are Seattle, you’re going to have to run the ball at every opportunity. That way you keep the Chiefs offense off the field and you give yourself a chance.
But can the Chiefs stand up to that run game? To me, that is the most interesting sub-plot of the day. If they can’t, they are going to need their offense to bail them out. It’s a high total points line, but I see it being that type of game, so go for the overs.
