BRISBANE BRONCOS vs WESTS TIGERS (Friday 27th May 7.50pm)

I am never one to mince my words so I am straight into it this week. I am going to tip and upset here. I’m backing the Tigers ($4.50 Sportsbet). The Broncos have 6 out but having said that they still have a cracking backline with the likes of Reed, Roberts, Kahu and Maranta, but this is before you consider the likes of Milford and Benny Hunt too. You look at the forwards and it paints an unusual picture with Parker, McGuire, Gillett and Thaiday all missing. That’s too big a loss of cattle to not give the Tigers a big chance of upsetting the applecart so I am going for the roughies.

The Tigers have Sausao Sue coming back which gives them some grunt, Matt Ballin will be better for the run as will Elijah Taylor at his new club, add in some experience in the shape of Tim Grant and the Tigers look fat odds anywhere north of $4.00. The battle in the halves will be super, both sets go very well. If you are keen on the line, it is a pretty chunky start at around 11 or 12 points but the value sits with straight off the bat and I am on!

Who is going to grab the first ‘meat pie’ of the night? I reckon the Tigers will come out humming and silence the BrisBANE locals with the first score and I am going to vouch for David Nofoaluma ($14 Sportsbet) to add to his 5 tries this season.
