Got to love State Of Origin! The New South Welshman might not feel the same way having to travel north of the border into the QLD cauldron that it will be on Wednesday night. The Blues are under incredible pressure as they try and keep alive their prospects in this series. Things were only made worse by the withdrawal of Josh Morris although Dylan Walker is playing great footy in a poor club side. When you look at both sides on paper, experience counts in big games and QLD have this in abundance.

QLD have lost Nate Myles but have lost nothing in the shape of Jacob Lillyman. He was an unsung hero last year in the same series and his yardage for the Warriors this season has been good. All in all there is too much on NSW shoulders to be expected to go up to QLD in front of a passionate, raucous home crowd and stroll away with the win. I think Queensland ($1.57 UNIBET) are certainties, and I am tipping them to win 13+ ($3.60 William Hill) to wrap up the series in convincing fashion.
You wonder whether it is going to be such an arm wrestle as it was in Sydney but I don’t think so. There will be tries and hopefully plenty of them – for the men in maroon of course. Dane Gagai ($15 Ladbrokes) has shown what he can do when playing in a good side, and I fancy him to be the first tryscorer in Origin 2.
In the big games, the big players stand up. This is where players like Cameron Smith, Corey Parker and others thrive but there is one man who so often leads his team to victory off the back of an amazing individual display. Johnathan Thurston ($6 Ladbrokes) looks a half-decent price to be Man-Of-The-Match so have a few bob on.
As the magnificent ex North Sydney and Queensland forward Billy Moore bellowed running onto the field in State Of Origin: QUEENSLANDER!
