PARRAMATTA EELS vs SYDNEY ROOSTERS (Friday 8th July 7.50pm)
We kick off with 4 matches this round because of State Of Origin 3 next week and I am going to start by tipping the Roosters ($2.23 UNIBET). I know they have a few players out and they are good players too in Guerra and Ferguson, but Parra have lost Jennings – big blow. However there was a lot to like about the Roosters efforts against the high-flying Bulldogs last week. I liked the look of them and it appeared to me the Roosters might be on the up. Even though they have been disappointing this year I just get the sense they are really going to test Parramatta here.

As such, I reckon a great play will be the Roosters 1-12 ($3.20 Bet365), weather could be a factor so expect it to tight which for mine will mean that the first try should be scored close to the ruck. If you followed me last week you would have backed Kevin Proctor @ 34.0 as I tipped for exactly the same reason – so let’s stick with Mitch Aubusson ($23 LuxBet) to score first at big odds.
CANTERBURY BULLDOGS vs WESTS TIGERS (Saturday 9th July 7.30pm)
The Bulldogs have been putting it together in recent weeks and whilst they lose Klemmer and Jackson to SOO 3, one glance at the team sheet and you see there is a real strength about the Bulldogs line-up, even though they are missing those two boppers. Speaking of big boppers – Tony Williams. He has been off in the wilderness for 2 or 3 season now, all of a sudden he is off contract and playing like his career depended on it…..well it does. He has been so damaging off the bench in recent weeks and his passing has been magnificent.

The Tigers are heavy outsiders here but we very good last week. The price reflects the loss of Tedesco – whom is a major blow for the Tigers but definitely worthy of his shot at the big time. He has been scintillating this season for the Tiges whom also lose Woods and Farah. They are just too big a blows to a team who also seem to be on the up. As such there is no great value in the short straight out price the Bulldogs ($1.25 Sportsbet), the best play will be to go the Bulldogs 13+ ($1.93 Bet365). This game could be a romp if the Bulldogs turn it on, and let’s vouch for Moses Mbye ($19 William Hill) to jag the first ‘meat pie’ on Friday night. Been playing well Moses, so let’s go with him.
PENRITH PANTHERS vs CRONULLA SHARKS (Sunday 10th July 4pm)
The revolving door on the first grade squad has been working overtime down Sharkies way, with no less than 5 players from the competition hot shots squaring up in SOO 3 next week. Fifita, Graham, Maloney, Bird and Gallen are big losses to the Sharks on a 12 game win streak, will this finally come to an end at the foot of the mountains? A big game beckons.

Despite these big losses in terms of firepower, Cronulla still boast a strong side, and welcome back the talented Val Holmes. I have been tipping Penrith constantly but I have to take a piece of that price the Sharks ($2.55 UNIBET) to win this one. They bet $3.0 early doors!!! There is no way the Sharks will romp away with this game so some real value will be found in the 1-12 ($3.75 William Hill) as the upset beckons.

My theory about Sunday arvo footy kicks in here with two teams whom can score a lot of points, let’s go OVERS ($1.90 Sportsbet) in the Total Points Market. A feast of footy, a feast of points and the Sharks to make it 13 in a row in a boilover.

First Try Scorer: I expect the Panthers to start well, let’s look to Tyrone Peachey ($11 LuxBet) to get the scoring underway with the first try of the afternoon on Sunday.

CANBERRA RAIDERS vs NTH QLD COWBOYS (Monday 11th July 7pm)
Off to a chilly nation’s capital on Monday night, maybe we might know who is Prime Minister by then? Vote 1 Jordan Rapana for PM the lime supporters scream. It is going to be a shock to the system for the North Queenslanders, used to the humidity of the tropical north coming down to the frost and ice of the inland capital. It’s a big country ours!

North Queensland have lost just too many big guns from their premiership winning side to be able to topple a Canberra side whom on their day, are very, very good. The players coming in go ok, but I sense that Ricky Stuart will revv the locals right up after getting out of jail against the lowly Knights last week. I am going the Raiders to bounce and bounce in style, take them 13+ ($2 Bet365) to put Nth Qld away.

He scored the miracle try last week and is a firm crowd favourite down in the ACT, so get on Jordan Rapana ($8 William Hill) to be First Try Scorer. He is flying at the moment and knows his way to the try line.
