The fourth meeting at Doomben in ten days which is a big ask for any track. The false rail is back in to 3.5 metres around the entire track. As we keep saying Doomben has done a great job in recent years and it is a good drying track. But with talk of 250mm hitting the area we will definitely be looking at wet track runners.

NO 10 COOROI CHASE First starter who looked good in Deagon trial win on Tuesday. Bred to handle the wet and reported to be more than handy.
NO 5 ZAP First starter but won a trial in nice fashion recently and well bred. Question mark in the wet.
NO 1 NICK'S REWARD Beat a handy field at first start in a Sunshine Coast Two-Year-Old and this not much tougher. Bred to handle the wet.
NO 2 WUDANG BLADE Very quick horse who led for a long way before stopping last 50m at Doomben last time. Fitter now.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 1 NICK'S REWARD
NO 3 I FEEL GOOD Good Sunshine Coast winner two runs back and a nice run when fifth at Doomben over 1630m. Has won up to 1700m and handles wet tracks. Suited here with a 3kgs claim.
NO 1 MARGIN TRADER Had good Victorian form in staying races. Racing well this area and down in grade here. Only worry a really wet track.
NO 10 HIGH AFRICAINE Stepping up in class here but two recent wins have been solid and is bred to be a genuine stayer. This distance and soft track suits.
NO 9 ENDLESS DON Doesn't win many but plugs away in these types of race and handles soft tracks. He will be very fit for this.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 10 HIGH AFRICAINE
NO 11 SPIRAL Has been most consistent this area without winning. But gets his chance to win here at this trip on a wet track. Never won on heavy going but placed three of four goes on it.
NO 4 MEDIEVAL Strong win this track and distance last start in midweek company. Has raced well in Sydney and on wet tracks. Only failure on a heavy track was in a bog.
NO 1 BRONZED VENOM He has won his past three starts at the provincial tracks like a handy horse. This distance suits and is well drawn but a really wet track would be a worry.
NO 5 CHARCUTERIE Has always shown ability and an excellent second at the Gold Coast last start behind a handy horse. No star in the wet but can handle it.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 5 CHARCUTERIE
NO 2 TOO GOOD TO REFUSE (BEST BET) Finished as good as any runner when fourth in the recent Newcastle Newmarket. Class galloper who is looking for 1600m now. Handles the wet but doesn't want it too heavy.
NO 7 BRAZEN MOSS Up in class here but good restricted class winner last start and likes the 1600m and wet tracks. He is closely related to Group 1 star Buffering.
NO 1 SIR MOMENTS Got bogged down when well beaten at the Gold Coast last start over 1200m. Much better suited here and won on a heavy track at only start in the going.
NO 8 FAST ARROW Good third at 1800m at the Gold Coast last start and likes wet tracks. This a bit harder than last time but has each-way claims.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 8 FAST ARROW
NO 7 FIERY HEIGHTS Back in distance here but has plenty of pace and can never be left out of the chances. Likes heavy tracks and should get conditions to suit.
NO 2 HARD STRIDE Never draws a good barrier so form of late has been good without having any luck. Badly drawn again but it shouldn't worry if the track is wet. Handles soft going very well.
NO 1 MOUNT NEBO Very good in heavy going and despite big weight looks well placed here. Hasn't run for six months but trialled well in lead up to this.
NO 4 MR FAVULOUS Old timer who was well beaten at his first run in a year in the bush last start. But loves wet tracks and has a history of winning or placings at big odds.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 4 MR FAVULOUS
NO 5 SLYDINI (NEXT BEST BET) Never far from the money and finally looks as though he will get things to go his way here. Loves wet tracks and this distance is ideal. Drawn to race on the pace.
NO 3 BLACKJACK BELLA Is never far away but doesn't win too many. Strong second last start and should get the pace on early here to suit.
NO 13 KALANDULA Ran her best race in a long time when second in a stronger race at the Gold Coast last start. The wet track is the key to her success.
NO 2 RED LETTER DAY Loves wet tracks and this is a sharp drop in class from last start mid field finish in a Listed stakes race. Looks a strong hope here.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 2 RED LETTER DAY
NO 9 TIME TO TORQUE Flashed home for second after getting a long way back at Doomben last week. Similar race here and just needs to get going a bit earlier to win this time.
NO 5 DESERT GENERAL Once tipped to be a stakes winner but he has been a disappointment in general. But freshened up for this and he does go well this track and distance. Also loves the wet.
NO 10 ALWAYS SACRED Handy galloper on his day who won in midweek class last start. Handles soft tracks and not the worst by a long way in a hard race.
NO 4 BRETTAN Hasn't run for five months but did trial well winning at Deagon on Tuesday. Likes Doomben and wet track form is okay. Has won twice first-up.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 4 BRETTAN
NO 2 OUR BEEBEE Very promising filly who has got under our guard with her past two wins. But not this time as she gets in here very well after the 3kgs claim carrying one over the limit for winner of her past two starts.
NO 9 TWO SHOES (BEST ROUGHIE) Has failed to run a strong 1600m at her past two starts and back to her right distance here. She is very good in the wet.
NO 3 VICTORY EIGHT He has won his only two starts this area after racing in Victoria and South Australia. Looks promising and is another with a 3kgs claim.
NO 10 BEAUDACIOUS Finished strongly for second first-up and a bit flat last time when failed at the Gold Coast. Give another chance here.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 3 VICTORY EIGHT
