New Zealand Warriors v St George Illawarra Dragons

The Warriors take on the Dragons this week in a matchup of teams who have the quality but haven’t been consistently showing it.

Dragons coming off of 3 straight losses lost a competitive game in the derby against the Sharks. A healthy serving of average refereeing and a tablespoon of Josh McCrone was their undoing.

In this game It’s hard to look beyond this bet. Dragons have scored over 14.5 in 80% of their games this season. While the warriors have only kept their opponents to under 15 points twice.

The planets are aligning in this one with the Warriors proving how leaky they can be. St George is still a competent side and although Dugan and Widdop are out they’re more than capable of putting three tries on the Warriors.

Best Bet: St George Illawarra Team Total Over 14.5

Safe bet: New Zealand (H2H)

Hail Mary Bet: NZ-4.5 & Over 37.5

Melbourne Storm v Souths Sydney Rabbits

Bet of the round right here. How often do you see Melbourne losing two in a row?

How often do you see the Bunnies win 2 in a row in their current form?

Inglis has gone into rehab for depression, Walker is unhappy with his contract situation especially with talks to bring Gagai in for large money.

Melbourne takes out their pent up frustration on a Rabbits squad that had that random good game which gives faith to their fans. Souths get brought back down to earth in a huge way.

Best bet: Melbourne-8

Safe bet: Melbourne (H2H)

Hail Mary Bet: Melbourne 13+

Wests Tigers v Brisbane Broncos

Wests Tigers and Cleary will become that team that rises to the big occasion when the chips are against them.

Anyone who saw their game against the Storm saw how dominant the Tigers were for large portions of that game eventually collapsing. Similarly, when the Tigers were underdogs against the Cowboys, oh I don’t know something in the realm of 14-point dogs and ended up winning by 10. That was after an embarrassing performance against the Dragons.

With Moses departing and the media circus surrounding the club, if this isn’t a “lets prove that piss-ant Moses wrong” moment I don’t know what will be.

14 points is a boatload and with the Broncos being reluctant to blow teams out this year I really like this play.

Best Bet: West Tigers+14

Safe Bet: Wests Tigers +20.5

Hail Mary Bet: Brisbane 1-12
