It’s perfect timing for the Sydney Roosters to take on the Tigers.
The chooks are staring down the barrel of three straight losses for the first time this season and another defeat here could seriously dent their chances of finishing in a top-two spot.
They won’t get a better opportunity to reverse their fortunes than here at their home ground of Allianz Stadium.
Sydney Roosters come into the match off a heartbreaking 16-13 loss to Melbourne last weekend that showed just why, despite the loss, many are predicting them to get through to the decider in October.
Wests Tigers come into the game on a high after producing a 14-point comeback to stun Manly 30-26 at Leichhardt Oval.
The SYDNEY ROOSTERS pretty much guarantee themselves two points whenever they play the Tigers.
In one of the more incredible hoodoos that one team has over another, Sydney Roosters have won nine straight and 13 of the past 14 matches between the sides.
What’s more is that the chooks have done it relatively easy against the Tigers during that span with an average winning margin of 26.7 points per game since 2012.
Those stats alone suggest they are close to a good thing to break their mini form slump but bookies have kept them pretty tight in the market. The boys at Centrebet have them $1.22 which is best price at the time of writing.
Trent Robinson’s side has turned Allianz Stadium into a fortress in 2017.
They have saluted in six straight matches at the venue and boast 10 wins out of their past 11 matches dating back to last season.
This spells big trouble for the Tigers who have just one win at the ground since 2011. Currently their losing streak at Allianz is seven straight matches and 11 in their past 12 visits.
Although the Tigers are 4-7 on the road this season they will need to be on their game for the entire 80 minutes in order to avoid getting handled at Moore Park once again.
We can’t possibly see the Tigers claiming another big scalp and as a result we are making the Roosters one of our best bets of the weekend.
They aren’t much of a price but throw them into your multis with confidence.
Boyd Cordner and Jake Friend returned from injury last week and will be all the better for the experience and you can also throw in fullback Michael Gordon’s return this week.
The Roosters were really impressive last week considering they were on the wrong side of the penalty count and several 50/50 calls against the Storm. If they turn up and produce the same energy and enthusiasm here they will win by plenty.
The 21-30 Winning Margin is paying a fat result ($5 @ Sportsbet) so have a few dollars on it.
