The Storm machine looks to continue the roll heading into the finals.

Melbourne wrapped up the Minor Premiership last week with a convincing win over Newcastle and don’t look like easing up on the visiting Rabbitohs here.

Souths have been out of finals contention for a while now but they have lifted their game significantly in recent weeks and come into this clash off the back of a big win over the Warriors.

MELBOURNE racked up 44 points last week against Newcastle and that was with a few of their starters missing.

This week they get back star half Cooper Cronk which will only add to the pressure that the Souths defence will face on their goal line.

The Storm are currently ranked second in the NRL for attack and top for the defence.

This match will give Storm flyer Suliasi Vunivalu the chance to peg back Alex Johnston on the tryscoring table.

Johnson is out of action for the bunnies and leads the league with 22 tries which puts him three in front of the chasing Vunivalu.

Interestingly, Vunivalu has scored in four straight matches for the first time in his career and has 42 from as many games with the Storm, however, just 10 of his 42 tries have come at AAMI Park.

This is one of the most lopsided contests in the history of rugby league.

Melbourne has won 18 of the past 20 clashes against Souths with their overall winning percentage of 85.2 percent over them being the best any NRL side against another team.

Highlighting the dominance the Storm have had over the Rabbitohs is the fact they have only lost to them twice in the past 12 years.

MELBOURNE ($1.19 @ Palmerbet) are one of the better bets on the weekend.

They aren’t a great price but something is better than nothing and we suggest you use them for an anchor in your multi bets.

The 13+ Winning Margin is a nice betting option to look towards too as Melbourne has saluted by an average of 18.6 points during their current five-game winning run in the NRL.
