NRL Mid-Week Mail: Round 26

Gossip from around the grounds. Who’s in, who’s out, who’s likely to be with a new club by the kick off of next season.

James Graham – Graham has openly been on the outs in Belmore for some time now. The Dragons are willing to throw him a lifeline, offering to pay $600,000 of his contract. Word out of Kogarah is saying that the Dragons are growing impatient with the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs need to act soon to make it work and the Dragons aren’t leaving the offer on the table forever.

Robbie Farah – Robbie Farah has been linked to old mate Tim Sheens. Sheens may bring him over to Hull KR. Another tangent this story has gone on is Farah to the Dogs. With all the negative press about staying under the salary cap surrounding the Bulldogs, I highly doubt that’s a viable move.

Charlie Gubb – The young, solid, talented forward from the Warriors is on the radar of a couple of next year’s contenders. Canberra and the Cowboys are set to be going toe to toe for his signature. The Raiders are the favourites with Dave Taylor moving on, leaving a spot open for Gubb to slip in to.

Patrick Kaufusi – Kaufusi could be joining his brother down south. The Cowboy forward has supposedly been headhunted by Bellamy. I don’t have a negative word to say about any recruitment done by Bellamy and the Storm. I’m sure this buy would work.

Injuries & Suspensions

The Titans’ season has been dealt yet another blow. Nathan Peats, who has been one of the few bright spots in the Titan’s blotchy season was rushed off the field with shoulder injury against the Bulldogs.

Dale Copley is also out for the season due to injury. Jarrod Wallace will join him on the bench this week after taking three weeks for a grade three shoulder charge.

The Bunnies copped injury to insult last week after losing Kyle Turner (concussion) Adam Reynolds (concussion) and Aaron Gray (leg).

Injuries with finals implications were seen in the Roosters v Sharks game. The Sharks saw Wade Graham leave the field and are eagerly awaiting scans to determine the degree of injury. The Sharks also lost Sam Tagatese. The Roosters lost Sio Siua Taukeiaho

Penrith lost Dylan Edwards to a knee injury.

Korbin Sims for the Broncos broke his arm in the embarrassing loss to the Eels.
