MELBOURNE STORM vs BRISBANE BRONCOS – Friday 7.55pm, AAMI Park

I have got to tip the Storm.

After they narrowly beat Parramatta I think the week off will have done them the world of good. I never used to believe in it before but I am big believer in it now.

They will be fresh and ready to go and I think they will take advantage of that and put Brisbane to the sword here.

Brisbane has a few concerns in their line up even thought Darius Boyd has been named to make his return to the side. There has to be a doubt over him while we saw Corey Oates and Sam Thaiday pick up knocks last week as well.

All in all though my money is with MELBOURNE but they are too short to back straight out so I am going for them to cover the Line (10.5).

I don’t mind having a crack at the first tryscorers either and while Suliasi Vunivalu and Josh Addo-Carr have over 40 tries between them this year, I will stick my neck out and go for a bit value in Felise Kaufusi ($23 @ Centrebet, Will Hill) as he has eight tries for the year.

My best approach for this game though is Storm at the Line.

Outright Match Winner:

STORM

Best Bet:

STORM – 10.5

First Try Scorer:

FELISE KAUFUSI

SYDNEY ROOSTERS vs NORTH QUEENSLAND COWBOYS - Saturday 7:40pm, Allianz Stadium

The Cowboys have been good to me the past few weeks, however, I think this might be a bridge too far for them to cross.

Again, I am focusing on the team that’s had the week off and I think that is vitally important so on that basis I am tipping SYDNEY ROOSTERS.

North Queensland are on a bit of a roll now but again they have a few injury concerns with Coen Hess coming off last week and Antonio Winterstein appearing to be carrying something as well.

I like the Roosters and I think they will cover the Line (-8.5) so that is my best bet for this game. They should come out firing and I am pretty confident they will be the first team to score.

Since I think the home team is going to open the scoring I will have a couple of dollars on Mitch Aubusson for First Tryscorer ($15 @ bet365). He hasn’t scored that many this season but I think he is due to here.

Outright Match Winner:

ROOSTERS

Best Bet:

ROOSTERS -8.5

First Tryscorer:

MITCH AUBUSSON
