This Weekends 5 Best Bets
We've gone through our tips and have found you the five best bets for the weekend from horse racing, NRL and Premier League action.
We've gone through all our tips to give you the five best bets you should be placing this weekend.
Horse Racing – Caulfield Race 2
The Tip: Lady of Flanders
Why: LADY OF FLANDERS will be looking to make it three wins on the trot after winning her past two starts since resuming from a spell. Sat behind the speed before gaining the upper hand in the final furlong to defeat Josephine Sea by just under a length at Sandown last start. Won on this track back in July. Rates well.
Horse Racing – Morphettville Race 7
The Tip: Theanswermyfriend
Why: Hard to go past the in-form THEANSWERMYFRIEND as he looks to rack up the hat-trick of victories here today. Proved too good when leading all the way to defeat Malasise at Mooney Valley seven days ago. Is on the quick back up but looks perfectly placed to be very competitive here today. Key player.
Horse Racing – Caulfield Race 7 Memsie Stakes
The Tip: Happy Clapper
Why: The old marvel excels first-up, winning his last two first-up, taking the Randwick 1300m track record with him in the latest. Two trials have been good, including a 1.6L 5th in the hot heat behind Siege of Quebec, Home of the Brave and Showtime.
Maps to get every chance here and is proven on the soft if any rain is to come. Had the wood on Kementari last time they met at 1500m (when Kementari had the fitness edge, like here) then put 4L on him in the Doncaster.
Premier League – Leicester v Liverpool
The Tip: Both teams to score
Why: Liverpool showed their gritty side by beating a well-organised and resilient Brighton side 1-0. They face a tough challenge at Leicester, against a side who have registered good wins against Wolves and Southampton so far.
The Foxes will be without Jamie Vardy due to suspension, which is a massive blow. However James Maddison and Demarai Gray have enjoyed good starts to the season. Maddison in particular is eyeing up an England call-up after a very promising start.
Liverpool’s trip to Leicester is their toughest assignment yet, and this is where we predict their run of clean sheets will end.
NRL – Bulldogs v Sharks
The Tip: Sharks 1-12
Why: Cronulla will be looking to secure a spot in the top four with a win here and after being rusty for a big portion of the game against Newcastle last week, eventually ran away with it 38-12.
History is on their side in this fixture with four straight wins against the boys from Belmore, however, those have been by an average of just 2.75 points.
