5 Bets To Get You Up This Weekend
We've gone through our tips and have found you the five best bets for the weekend from horse racing, UFC, AFL and NRL.
We've gone through all our tips to give you the five best bets you should be placing or using as multi-fillers this weekend.
Horse Racing – Mooney Valley Race 3 (1000m)
The Tip: Causeway Girl
Why: Causeway Girl gave her rivals a galloping lesson when bolting in by an astonishing 7 lengths and will prove hard to beat in her first attempt in the city here today. Drawn perfectly and will strip fitter second-up and once again be hard to beat. Big show expected.
Horse Racing – Randwick Race 7 Missile Stakes (1200m)
The Tip: Kementari
Why: Reigning Randwick Guineas winner Kementari resumes here today and looks perfectly placed to take out today’s Group 2 Missile Stakes. Our Best Bet at Randwick has looked impressive at his two trials leading into his return and will be the one they all need to beat. Looking to gain a spot in the Everest, so a big show is expected here today.
AFL - Sydney v Collingwood
The Tip: Collingwood win
Why: It has been a disastrous fortnight for the Swans who somehow blew a 29-point quarter-time lead against the Gold Coast Suns.
Very little has separated the sides recently with three wins each since 2013; two of the last three have been decided by less than two goals. Collingwood has been tremendous this season and were again the benchmark of the competition.
UFC 227 – Dillashaw v Garbrandt
Main event from Sunday 12:00pm
The Tip: Garbrandt by KO
Why: There is plenty of bad blood between these two men and the tension only continues to rise. Once teammates, now enemies, they first locked horns in the octagon at UFC 217. Dillashaw knocked out Garbrandt in the second round to become to new champion.
It is Garbrandt’s only loss to date in 13 fights. He is two inches taller than Dillashaw but concedes his advantage in reach where the latter has nearly three inches on him.
In what should be a cracking fight, we are tipping Garbrandt will get a bit of payback and extend his record to 12-1-0.
NRL - Sharks v Sea Eagles
The Tip: Sharks -8.5 (line)
Why: The hard-fought loss to the Broncos last week has seen the Sharks drop down to sixth on the ladder, but a top 4 finish is still within reach. A boost to the side is the return of Wade Graham this week.
Valentine Holmes shone for his side last weekend, recording his fourth double for the season and taking him to the top of the try scorer ladder on 17. He has two tries in his past three matches against Manly. Look for him to score again tonight.
