Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs 2019 NRL Season Preview & Analysis
The Bulldogs can only improve on what was a reality-check of a season in 2018.
Finished in 2018: 12th (8 wins, 16 losses)
Key ins: Jack Cogger & Nick Meaney (Knights), Christian Chrichton (Panthers), Corey Harawira-Naera (Panthers), Sauaso Sue (Wests Tigers), Dylan Napa (Roosters)
Key outs: Josh Morris (Sharks), Brett Morris (Roosters), David Klemmer (Knights), Matt Frawley (Huddersfield), Greg Eastwood (Newtown)
Coach: Dean Pay
Captain(s): Josh Jackson
Summary: The Bulldogs clean-up is well underway. All stock must go, and whoever hasn’t gone, likely won’t be there too much longer. Handicapped by Des Hasler’s poor cap management in years past, the Bulldogs have to buy-low and young for the next couple of years. Heavy expectations will be on the shoulders of Keiran Foran and Aaron Woods to lead a relatively inexperienced pack. Marcelo Montoya and Raymond Faitala-Mariner are just a couple of young talents who need to step up in a big way to share the load of what season 2019 will bring on this once proud rugby league team.
Key stat: The Bulldogs ranked #1 in conversion % in 2018.
