Summary: This season should be a belter for the Bunnies. The dramatic arrival of super coach Wayne Bennett is mouth-watering as the combination of the league’s most successful club and coach come together. One game away from the Grand final last year, the Bunnies will be hoping Bennett’s experience in big games can put them over the top. Bennett has a plethora of talent at his disposal, with a well-established spine, weapons out wide and a good forward pack.

South Sydney will be leaning on its youth this year with a number of clubmen moving on and little happening in terms of acquisitions. If the Bunnies' big boys up front get a good go forward, Damien Cook will carve up opposing defences, allowing their playmakers to wreak havoc out wide.

Key stat: The Rabbitohs ranked #1 in tries and points in 2018.
