Why Souths' forwards will dominate the Dragons and how you can profit

Wed, 20 Mar, 12:00 AM

South Sydney’s forwards carved up the Roosters last week – and we’re looking at their three most valuable members to cash in against an under-strength Dragons pack.

Wayne Bennett knows the old adage of forwards winning competitions is true – he’s won more Premierships than any other coach in history. And Bennett would have noted the ease in which the Cowboys’ ran through the Dragons forwards last week – Jason Taumalolo, Josh McGuire and Jordan McLean ran over a combined 580 metres!

Future rep star Cameron Murray had the game of his career against the Roosters last week – even scoring the first try. Sam Burgess already looks in peak form and with Tyson Frizell becoming the latest Dragons Origin forward sidelined, the big Englishman will be a key attacking weapon and looking to add to his four career tries against the Dragons.

However, don’t forget the Bunnies’ biggest attacking threat of them all – hooker Damien Cook will be looking for a dominant game against a man arguably second in line for Cook’s NSW number nine jersey in Cameron McInnes. Cook ran for 194 metres the last time he faced the Dragons, one of his bigger career totals.

Given the points above we’re backing the Bunnies’ forward pack to cross the line this Thursday Night. You can currently get:

  •     - Sam Burgess to score a try at $3.60 with TAB
  •     - Damien Cook to score a try at $4.25* with Neds
  •     - Cameron Murray to score a try at $4.25 with Ladbrokes

Plus if you’re eligible for the offers below you could profit handsomely. For example, if you were to use your $100 to bet on Burgess to score a try at $3.60*, you could come away with a tidy $260*!

Either way, it should be a cracking game!

Good luck on the punt.
