Why some Tedesco magic could be Origin's deciding factor

All signs point to the superstar fullback stealing the show.

It’s decider time and NSW fullback James Tedesco seems to get better and better with every Origin appearance. He was unlucky to not win Man of the Series honours last year after controversially missing out to Billy Slater, but a big performance in Game 3 could have him claiming both Man of the Match and Man of the Series honours in 2019.

Tedesco’s brilliance from the back has been consistent regardless of who the NSW halves are. Plus Tom Trbojevic’s unexpected support play has meant Tedesco is turning line breaks into try assists which can only help his cause. Given this we’re tipping Tedesco to take out Man of the Match honours in Game 3 @ $6, and he’s got an impressive record to justify the faith:

  • - Tedesco has created more tries this series (3) than any other player
  • - Tedesco has made more running metres this series (431m) than any other player
  • - Tedesco has scored four tries in his last four matches at ANZ Stadium
  • - Tedesco is the only NSW back to be named Man of the Match since 2017

If you’re backing the Roosters megastar to be best on ground, it could get even better with Ladbrokes as they are offering an extra Odds Boost on the Man of the Match market. In fact, they’re also offering an extra Odds Boost on 1st Try Scorer where Tedesco could again be a likely candidate!

Either way enjoy the decider and happy punting!
