Adelaide will go a long way to securing a spot in the finals if they can get over the Central Coast on Saturday night. The Reds are finding a bit of form after winning their past two matches although they have been against opponents outside the top six. In fact, they’ve had three wins in their past six matches and all of those have been against teams currently placed seventh or lower on the table. That gives punters here even greater reason to load up on them as the Mariners are currently in ninth spot on the ladder and haven’t won in their past 10 matches, however, they have had a few admirable results in between including score draws against Sydney FC and Melbourne City – games they could have easily won.

Key stat: Central Coast has three wins for the entire season. All of those wins came in a four-game span against Sydney FC, Wellington and Perth in mid-November and early December.

First Goal Scorer

This is hard to pick because Adelaide are likely to open the scoring first, however, they are a rarity because they share their goals around. They have scored 22 goals for the season with Ryan Kitto leading the side with five. Outside of him, between George Blackwood and Absalonsen they have seven between them with three other players on two goals apiece.

Key stat: Ryan Kitto bagged the first and only goal the last time these sides met when Adelaide won 1-nil at Coopers Stadium. He also scored the last goal, which turned out to be the winner, against the Mariners back in November.
