Germany v France Tips & Betting Preview

The last two world champions kick-off the UEFA Nations League.

Following their World Cup triumph, France go back to the grind in the new UEFA Nations League, against the side they took over from as world champions. Germany were a disgrace in the World Cup and Joachim Löw has a rebuilding job on his hands.

 

France were deserving winners of the World Cup and have a mouth-watering squad at their disposal, however the Germans will undoubtedly find a way to bounce back should be bullish about their chances against the French. There may be a World Cup hangover from Didier Deschamps’ men, and I see a hard-fought draw being the most likely result.

 

Germany striker Timo Werner endured a disappointing, goalless tournament, but he will remain as Löw’s main man up-front against France. The 22-year-old has eight goals in 17 appearances for his country, and I’m backing him to find the net against France.
