Northern Ireland kick-off their Nations League campaign against Bosnia, and Michael O’Neill’s men will have to use Windsor Park to their advantage against a talented Bosnian side. The hosts narrowly missed out on World Cup qualification –losing to Switzerland 1-0 on aggregate in the play-offs.
Bosnia finished third in their qualifying group containing Belgium and Greece, but their squad contains a few familiar faces: Asmir Begovic, Miralem Pjanic and Sead Kolašinac in particular.
Northern Ireland won four out of five of their home matches last qualifying campaign – including a good 2-0 win against the Czech Republic – and they will be tough opponents for the Bosnians.
I’m backing this one to end all-square.
Northern Ireland kept four clean sheets in qualifying at Windsor Park – the match they conceded in was against Germany – so expect them to keep things exceptionally tight at the back. This will not be a topsy-turvy match, so backing a draw at half-time and full-time is a nice value bet.
