Benfica v AEK Athens

A nice simple one to start things off with, as I’m backing Benfica to beat AEK Athens at home.

There’s absolutely nothing to play for here, as Benfica are guaranteed a Europa League spot while AEK have lost all five of their matches, but the Portuguese side are still far superior.

They beat AEK 3-2 in the away leg (despite playing half of the match with ten men), and they’ll be confident of claiming victory.

Benfica’s Champions League campaign has been largely disappointing, but they will finish on a high.

Young Boys v Juventus

Juventus must beat Young Boys away from home to be absolutely certain of topping Group H, and I believe they’ll do so.

The Swiss side have been pretty spirited over the course of their Champions League campaign, and have been a little unlucky to have just one point from their five matches.

However, considering Juve have comfortably beaten Valencia and Manchester United away from home, Young Boys are likely to simply be outclassed.

Valencia v Man Utd

Finally, I’m backing Manchester United to draw away at Valencia.

The Spanish outfit are Europe’s draw specialists – six of their eight La Liga matches at Mestalla have ended all square – and they’re exactly the sort of side United will struggle to beat.

Jose Mourinho’s men have also drawn three of their last four matches, so despite a stalemate being priced at $3.40, it’s looking like the most likely result.

United can’t defend and Valencia cannot score – the Spanish side have just 12 La Liga goals in their 15 matches, the joint-lowest – so this has a draw written all over it.
