Saturday Night EPL Best Bets - Matchweek 32
Fulham v Man City
43% of City’s away games have seen them head into the break 1-0 up, and they’re definitely a little less destructive (though still very, very good) on the road.
A 1-0 deficit is also Fulham’s favourite half-time scoreline – both home and away – so while there’s every chance City will demolish them within 20 minutes on Saturday, the statistics suggest a 1-0 lead at the break may instead be on the cards.
Leicester v Bournemouth
The Brendan Rodgers Revolution is in full swing, and I’m backing his Leicester side to beat Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Foxes have won three of their last four matches – most recently a fantastic 2-1 victory over Burnley despite a fourth-minute red card – and I suspect Claude Puel isn’t being missed by many.
Bournemouth may have beaten Huddersfield in their last away game, but the nine straight defeats which preceded it doesn’t suggest they’re up to much on the road.
Brighton v Southampton
Brighton v Southampton may not look the most glamorous tie on paper, but it’s a very good BTTS prospect.
Only Arsenal and Chelsea have prevented Southampton from scoring away from home in their last six matches, and considering 63% of their games this season have seen both teams score, $2.10 looks fairly generous.
Brighton’s BTTS rate is a healthy 59%, and last kept a clean sheet against The Saints in 2012, so this is certainly worth keeping an eye on.
