Sevilla v Alaves - La Liga

We start with a massive game between Sevilla and Alaves – both of whom are ferociously battling with Getafe and Valencia for the last remaining Champions League spot.

Sevilla, who are generally outstanding at home, have lost two of their last three at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, and seven defeats in 11 has seen them slowly slip away from Champions League contention.

I’m backing them to draw against an Alaves side who sit just one point above them.

Two wins and a draw from Alaves’ last three on the road will please Abelardo Fernández, and he’ll feel his side have enough to get something from this fixture.

With so much at stake, you can expect this to be pretty cagey. $4.60 is great value for a draw between two very evenly matched outfits.

Leganes v Real Valladolid - La Liga

My second pick is for Leganes to beat Real Valladolid.

The hosts’ 11-match home unbeaten run came to a slightly surprising end at the hands of Girona before the international break, but I do think they’ll return to winning ways against struggling Valladolid.

The visitors have earned four points from their last two matches, but have lost four of their last five away games, and with just 24 goals this season, they simply do not have enough firepower to consistently pick up points on the road.

Leganes have had a good season, and they’ll be hopeful of beating this gritty-but-limited Valladolid team.
