Troyes v GFCO Ajaccio - Ligue 2

We kick-off proceedings in Ligue 2, where I’m confident in-form Troyes will get the better of Ajaccio.

The hosts have won five of their last six matches—as well as nine of their last 12 at home—which is a strong enough record to beat a side battling relegation.

Ajaccio have drawn more than they’ve lost recently, but with such a good home record, I expect promotion-chasing Troyes will have enough.

Standard de Liege v Anderlecht - Jupiler League Playoff

Another side with an excellent home record is Standard Liege, who are chasing the Belgian title in their Championship Play-Off Group. $2.25 for a Liege win looks a decent price considering they’ve won eight and drawn one of their last nine home games – a run which includes a 2-1 victory over Friday’s visitors.

Anderlecht have lost all three of their Play-Off matches and, with six defeats from their last nine away games, will fear the worst.

Liege should be winning this.

Leicester v Newcastle - Premier League

I’m always a little hesitant to back against Newcastle—simply because Rafa loves to stink a place out and snatch the odd point—but I can’t look past Leicester City for this one.

Brendan Rodgers has transformed the Foxes, who find themselves on a four-match winning streak. Jamie Vardy has also started to bang them in again, so Newcastle defenders beware.

Speaking of which, Florian Lejeune is out for the rest of the season, and that’s a huge blow for Newcastle – particularly with Vardy’s form in mind.

While performances haven’t been particularly bad, Newcastle have still garnered just three points from their last eight away matches, which is why I’m expecting Brendan to work his magic once again.
