We Get Our Tips Out For The Love Island Australia Final

Wed, 4 Jul, 7:00 AM

With the final episode of Love Island Australia airing on Thursday, we run our eye over the remaining couples who look to leave the Villa with $50,000 and a genuine connection (or who have played the game).

Grant and Tayla

Why they can win

- The Australian public have warmed to the couple following Cassidy’s efforts to create drama.

- Grant and Tayla have been together since the second pair-up; they are solid.

- Despite many moronic moments, Grant has proven to be a great source of entertainment in the house; pasta anyone?

- Other contestants have said they have the most genuine relationship.

- Currently the odds on favourites to win with Sportsbet paying $1.60*.

Why they can't win

- Their relationship was built on a lie and created an emotionally charged love triangle with Cassidy.

- Rumours have been circulating on social media and news websites that Grant has a girlfriend at home and only went on the show to promote his clothing brand.

- Tayla’s not the most likable contestant.

Josh and Amelia

Why they can win

- Josh has been a fan favourite due to his funny and gentle nature, in addition to being burnt by Kim and Cassidy.

- His relationship with Amelia, though in its infancy, has been stable and looks to be growing.

- They're the Switzerland of the house; being neutral when it comes to house politics.

- Currently sitting as 2nd favourite at $4 with Sportsbet*.

Why they can't win

- Is Amelia playing the game? Does she genuinely have a love interest in Josh?

- Amelia is new to the Villa, with the public generally favouring original cast.

- There have been some questions regarding the compatibility and if they would have hooked up outside of the Villa.

Eden and Erin

Why they can win

- For most of the show, they have been everyone’s favourite and the most solid couple in the Villa.

- They have been together since Day 1, with neither showing any real interest in anyone else.

- Were the first couple to become official BF & GF, with Eden’s sweet proposal

Why they can't win

- Aggression and bullying on display; most notably fighting with Tayla and Grant and also with Teddy who tried his hardest to smooth things from his rocky start.

- Eliminated contestants have said the pair have a toxic relationship with some going as far as saying they are staging the relationship in order to win $50,000.

- Public sentiment is quickly changing with the Australian public. Initially favourites to win, their odds have stretched out to $6*.
