Sporting Life Preview

It could pay to stick with CASE KEY in his current form. He won at Ripon before going close again in Class 3 company at Nottingham and Mick Appleby’s charge handles soft ground. Porchy Party ran well in a higher grade at Wolverhampton last time while Union Rose scored over 5f here but is upped in class off a higher mark. Monumental Man has been in good form in lower grade races on the all-weather while Fantasy Justifier won a Class 6 sprint at Wolverhampton recently. Belledesert posted a better effort at Nottingham having slipped down the weights while Our Oystercatcher and Perfect Symphony can be given a chance on recent placed efforts.

Oddschecker Verdict

Union Rose steps back up in grade and has a 6lb rise to contend with after scoring in a 5f 0-65 here earlier in the month. Narrow preference is for CASE KEY, who was beaten by a neck in a tougher heat at Nottingham last time and now drops in grade as he bids to defy a 3lb rise. Our Oystercatcher steps up in trip after rattling the crossbar over 5f at Sandown and can fight it out with recent Wolverhampton third Porchy Party for the silver medal.

Prediction: 1st Case Key, 2nd Union Rose, 3rd Our Oystercatcher
