Sporting Life Preview

Waitingfortheday has completed a hat-trick by narrow margins including a short-head victory at Dundalk. She has a 6lb penalty to contend with and this could be a step too far. Gasta was beaten a long way when last of three at Naas and hasn't won since her debut in May of last year. but Betsey Trotter has been going well and made the odds-on Sirjack Thomas pull out the stops at Sligo. MILITRY DECORATION ended his first campaign with a nursery victory at Dundalk and though slightly disappointing on his comeback in April has done enough to earn the vote though none of the remaining trio can be dismissed in what looks a tight handicap.

Oddschecker Verdict

Joseph O'Brien's three-time winner WAITINGFORTHEDAY has his optimum conditions, and the past course scorer can extend her winning run under a 6lb penalty for her latest success at Dundalk. Navan winner Betsey Trotter only found the well-fancied Sirjack Thomas too good at Sligo last time and is sure to be involved here, while Premier League and Gasta are others who have gone well of late and merit consideration.

Prediction: 1st Waitingfortheday, 2nd Betsey Trotter, 3rd Gasta
