Groves is now odds-on for World Title success after defeating Eubank Jr.
Groves gave Eubank Jr a boxing lesson last night in Manchester and is now best priced at 1-2 to World Super Series. Before the fight last night, Groves was best priced at 12-5, with bookies believing last night’s victor would be the eventual overall winner.
Callum Smith is 7-4 to come out on top, as he is the heavy favourite against Juergen Braehmer but it is Groves who is the heavy favourite after last night’s tremendous display. It was a unanimous decision which saw Groves prevail but Eubank Jr was poor and failed to land any significant punches or make the most of the fact that Groves had a dislocated shoulder.
Ex-pro Prince Naseem Hamed did not hold back after the fight about Eubank’s display. “This guy is not on the level he thinks he is, he's in a dream land.
"I know this sounds terrible but i think he should finish. I don't think he’s a hard puncher; in this game you need a get out of jail card, you need to be able to put them away and smash them up.
"He threw the kitchen sink at George Groves but he didn't do anything, not even when George has a dislocated shoulder.”
