A look at the runners that have seen support in the market this morning
We're off to Punchestown for the first of today's movers where Gordon Elliott's BABY TWIG has been popular all morning. A half-sister to two winning bumpers in France, the 5yo has yet to been seen on the racecourse. This hasn't stopped her price spiraling from 2/1 this morning into 5/4 favourite.
Next it's to Bath and Eve Johnson Houghton's PANTHER PATROL in the 13.30. Although having to contend with top weight, the six-year-old has been knocking on the door of late and looks sure to be thereabouts once again today. As big as 6/1 last night, he's now a general 3/1 shot.
In the following race at Bath (14.00), SHOWMETHEWAYAVRILO has been backed in from 8/1 into 9/2 for trainer Malcom Saunders. A previous winner over C&D, the 3yo has finished runner-up on his last two starts, both over today's trip.
Finally, it's to Kempton we go and the 17.55 where FANCI THAT has been backed at big prices. Unplaced in all three starts to date, Rae Guest's three-year-old was well beaten at 14/1 when finishing 13th of 14 on her latest outing at Bath over 6f last month. Champion jockey elect Jim Crowley does the steering today and the market expects much better on her handicap debut with the 12/1 of this morning replaced by odds of 7/1.
