After falling out with Chelsea’s former manager, Jose Mourinho, last season Diego Costa has now reportedly said he wants to leave Chelsea and apparently head back to Spain.
Reports from Spain claim the 27-year-old wants a move away from London as soon as possible with his former club Atletico Madrid favourite, at 2/1, to snap up their former striker before the end of the transfer window if he is to leave Chelsea.
He is currently favoured to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the transfer window as it appears new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keen to keep hold of the Spanish international.
Atletico are rumoured to be interested but are not prepared to push for the move too hard and risk jeopardising their relationship with Chelsea.
Costa has played the majority of his career in Spain since coming to England but if a deal to Atletico fails to materialise it looks as though he could be heading to Italy.
Juventus are in the market for a striker and could turn to Costa if they fail in a bid for Gonzalo Higuain. The Serie A champions are 20/1 to acquire the services of Costa while Napoli, who will be looking to replace what looks like an outbound Higuain, are 14/1. Rivals Inter and AC Milan are also heading the market with Inter priced at 20/1 and AC at 25/1, however failure to qualify for the Champions League could count against them.
