A surge of bets has seen playmaker Riyad Mahrez cut from 16/1 to 6/5 to join Chelsea.
There is plenty of speculation surrounding a number of Leicester players at present but none more so than Riyad Mahrez. The Algerian contributed 17 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League last season but who will he be playing for next season?
It would be very Arsenal of Arsenal to be heavily linked to a player but miss out and it seems that could happen yet again. Reports suggest Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has told Roman Abramovich that he needs another five summer signings in order to compete this season and Chelsea’s kit manufacturer Adidas began selling ‘Mahrez 7’ shirts on their website.
Following a huge wave of betting activity, he is now as short as 6/5 to be a Chelsea player come the end of the window (28/17 still available). He was 16/1 just yesterday.
It's likely to be a nervy rest of the transfer window for Leicester fans and if Mahrez keeps scoring goals like he did at the weekend against Celtic, it's going to be tough to stop him joining Kante out the exit door.
