Former Arsenal and Man Utd striker Robin van Persie looks as though he could be on his way to the Scottish Premiership, with Rangers now the favourites to sign the Dutchman at 4/6. He is as short as 1/5 elsewhere, with a number of bookies suspending the market.
Van Persie is reportedly unhappy with life in Turkey and has told Fenerbahce that his future lies away from the club. Rangers were 8/1 to sign the striker on Wednesday morning with the price shortening significantly in the past 24 hours.
If you think the former Premier League striker would prefer a move back to England, you can get 5/1 (as short as 5/2 elsewhere) on second-favourites Stoke, or 11/1 (as short as 3/1) on Middlesbrough to continue to make strides in the transfer window.
Interestingly, with Rangers making a number of high-profile signings and Celtic faltering in Europe you can still get 7/2 on Rangers to win the Scottish Premiership.
