Lacazette's move to Arsenal is now odds-on after Lyon boss today admitted the player could leave.
According to Lyon manager Bruno Genesio the French club are not ruling out the possibility of Alexandre Lacazette leaving the club this summer. That has caused Lacazette's price to fall further, at odds of 1/2 with the majority of bookies.
That is despite the player only recently signing a new four-year deal at the club. Money talks in football though and there have been plenty of admirers across Europe for Lacazette after scoring 92 goals in 230 appearances for Lyon.
Last week, Arsenal had a £30 million bid rejected for the player but are expected to improve on that offer in the coming days.
Lyon are thought to value Lacazette at £40 million and could be open to the transfer if Arsenal match that. Whether the usually prudent Arsene Wenger will be willing to do that is another matter though. It's no secret that Arsenal need to bolster their attack and with a lot of fan pressure for a big signing Wenger will know that he will have to add to their summer signings that have included Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano and Rob Holding so far. Most bookies seem in agreement that Lacazette is the most likely signing for Arsenal, at odds of 1/2, however you can still get 7/5 at Unibet.
