Augsburg vs Paderborn

Augsburg didn’t look like a side fighting relegation as they pummelled a poor Schalke side at the Veltins-Arena last time out.

I’m backing them to take this momentum into their next fixture with bottom side Paderborn, where they look a solid price to win at evens.

Paderborn are a gritty outfit who won’t go down without a fight, they’ve only found the net 31 times this season (compared to Augsburg’s 40), and considering Fuggerstädter won the reverse fixture 1-0, you have to learn slightly towards them to continue their run.

Fortuna Dusseldorf vs Schalke

Fortuna Dusseldorf also look a very good price to beat the aforementioned Schalke on Wednesday.

David Wagner’s men have been appalling for a while now, and his youth-centric selection policy is not paying dividends – they look hopeless.

Augsburg and Dortmund have made them look amateurish, and Fortuna, while they’re the joint-lowest scorers in the league without much in the way of swagger, are tough to beat under Uwe Rosler, and have the potential to bully Schalke.

Dusseldorf to take a big step towards safety completes this 4/1 double.
