Atletico Madrid vs Bayern Munich - 20:00
Starting off, I really like Bayern at 5/2 against Atletico Madrid.
Diego Simeone’s men are in absolutely outstanding form, having won six on-the-trot in La Liga, although they’ve only won one of their last four in Europe, including a 4-0 hammering against Bayern and back-to-back draws with Lokomotiv Moscow.
While Atletico are undoubtedly rock solid, Bayern are still the best side in Europe, and should not be as long as 5/2 in this. They’ve won 11 of their last 12, and have been excellent in the Champions League, winning all four matches – scoring 15 in the process.
If there’s any side in Europe who are capable of breaking down Atleti (again), it’s this Bayern side.
Borussia Monchengladbach v Inter Milan - 20:00
I’m also confident backing a Borussia Monchengladbach win/draw double chance against Inter.
In what’s a very tough group, Gladbach are unbeaten, with 6-0 and 4-0 wins against Shakhtar in their last two, while also securing draws with Inter and Real Madrid in the opening two weeks – although Marco Rose’s men conceded last-minute equalisers in both.
As for Inter, they’ve won just three of their last 11 in all competitions, and they’re in for a really tough afternoon against this strong Gladbach outfit.
