18:00 Wednesday

Manchester City are a model of consistency at the moment, wins are flowing as are the clean sheets. They’re creeping up on the stuttering Liverpool and are now prime contenders in a wide open title race, they’ve been solid at the Etihad for years under Pep and will be expecting to add another three points on Wednesday evening when Aston Villa come to town.

Villa have had plenty of COVID issues meaning their first team squad has not been involved since New Years Day. It’s almost 3 weeks off for them and you could see that as a positive as it means the players have had a winter break of sorts and will be eager to get back. It may take them a while to get going though and if City take the lead there’s a high chance they hold onto it if the stats are anything to go by.

Villa do look a serious team this year with plenty of quality but City just look a level above at the minute and taking the 5/6 on the hosts to be winning at half time and full time has been a profitable way to go down when wanting to get the Blue Moon onside.

Where is the value?

  Man City Draw Aston Villa
Best Odds 4/13 28/5 11/1
Manchester City Half time/Full time - 2pts @ 5/6

Jack Grealish is sure to give City a few headaches on the break with his ball carrying ability, no player is fouled more than him. He’s likely to be back on the left hand side as Dean Smith will probably play three central midfielders and that could mean Kyle Walker has his hands full at right back. Walker commits the second most fouls for City yet he’s a huge 8/1 for a card here.

Kyle Walker to be shown a card - 1pt @ 8/1
