These two old foes meet for the second time in a week after they played out a drab 0-0 draw at Anfield, something that seems to happen quite often when they face off. There’s likely to be a few changes for both sides but it will be interesting if the Red Devils employ the same gameplan and look to contain and counter but chiefly focus on defending. They may be a bit more outgoing on home soil which could make the match more interesting from a viewing perspective.

Liverpool are going through a very rare dodgy patch under Jurgen Klopp which could put extra pressure on them here, the bookmakers have pushed them out to around 13/8. They were much shorter in the league game last season but their drift is understandably with the famous front three struggle to ignite.

United bagged another away win midweek at Craven Cottage midweek and have had a strong run for a prolonged period of time now, I can see why people would fancy them here but the draw looks the most attractive price of the three at 27/10. This fixture has seen plenty of stalemates in recent times and there’s little to split between the two this season.

Draw - 1pt @ 27/10

Curtis Jones should come back into the side for the visitors and being a local lad he will be keen to show some fight for the club when the chips are down. He’s been carded three times this season including in the last tie at Aston Villa. He’s 6/1 to be carded in what is a derby match, that looks worthy of a small play too.
